wowjustwow 1,183 Posted March 18, 2019 Share Posted March 18, 2019 my colleague asks every one at office about their birthdays date. and when the date almost come, this person will scream about birthday treat and wooing the person who said "i dont have money". i know she always spend money to treat us at her birthday, but we never ask her, we even try to convinsing her that we are really fine without her treat us food at her birthday. everyone have their own need and some still strugles with life, not everyone have a capability to spend some money just for birthday treat do you have friends like this? hueningchips 3 Posted March 18, 2019 Share Posted March 18, 2019 i feel like it's really a mistunderstanding on both sides. i guess you could say that she's only trying to be kind and i understand that you and your other coworkers - as much as you appreciate it - may not be able to repay her. i've actually been the person who spent a lot on my other friends without getting anything in return, but i'd never shame them for not being able to repay me with something because it was my choice to spend that money and time on them. c: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

edelgard 4,845 Posted March 21, 2019 Share Posted March 21, 2019 my friend treated a whole bunch of her friends to dinner at an expensive place including my gf who she never met before. the whole bill was over $600 she eventually told me when i kept bugging her about it. i didn't really understand it and shouldn't it be the other way around instead of her paying for us but she really wanted to so i couldn't argue with that she kinda regret it after and got pretty upset bc some of her friends didn't even say hbd to her or even acknowledge her i guess. she even planned to do something after that she planned months in advance and they all said yes but then most of them bailed last second so yikes Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
