My friend thinks BTS having no dating "scandal" in six years is weird for healthy young and popular men

It's really not their fault that they grinded the majority of their careers and now that they are globally successful, they have no time for serious dating/relationships. I could be wrong and they're just good at staying lowkey, but what the members do on their free time is basically taking picnic dates with each other, taking bike dates with each other, generally going on vacation with each other or doing something with each other.

 

And that whole notion that one should be dating at their ages is also flawed. You really don't have to date anyone at all to be happy. If it ever gets revealed that one of them is dating, it would probably be on their own terms and of course I'd support their relationship because their happiness is my happiness. 

 

But for now I'll just believe what RM said here

It's really telling how much of our lives and culture is centered on being with someone sexually/romantically. It's such a pervasive notion. A relationship isn't a priority for me. That can be the case for others.

 

I find it weird that people think dating is fundamental to human experience.

99% of idols haven’t had dating scandals, and it’s very unlikely that all of them are single. I’m not saying BTS are definitely dating, but any idol could be dating behind the scenes. Idols appearing to be available is part of their job, and unfortunately dating is still seen as a taboo even though it’s a normal part of life.
