Not necessarily pursuing, you do not have to try hard, it can be casual and persistent. Sometimes you really like that particular ONE, and there could be limited options (small pool) as well (depending on your situation)

you can't possibly know for sure tho, only they know what their relationship is really like. and you don't want to be that person and you certainly don't want to make her that person. trust me i've been her.

It's wrong, plain and simple. But I would imagine even if you successfully got with that person, you'd constantly be insecure that they'd leave you for someone else who comes along and goes after them.
