Hillary Duff Just Pretty Much Confirmed a Lizzie McGuire Reboot is Happening

2018 was the year of the TV reboot, but that doesn't mean that 2019 won't be filled with television blessings as well. Hillary Duff pretty much just announced that a Lizzie McGuire reboot is happening AKA THIS is what dreams are made of!

Fourteen years after the show last aired, a lot of things are bound to have changed in the lives of Lizzie, Miranda, and Gordo. So, what will the show be about and who will be returning? Here's everything we know about the show and what we can expect from Lizzie McGuire 2.0.

IS IT HAPPENING?

It sure sounds like it! Hillary revealed to Fox News that she is really pushing for the project and the show is even "in very new stages." Though she didn't officially confirm anything, Hillary did say that "there’s been a lot of creative talk," which is better than nothing!

WHAT IS IT GOING TO BE ABOUT?

Since the show went off air 14 years ago, by now Lizzie and her crew would be around 30, dealing with the trials and tribulations of early adulthood. Hillary, who gave birth to her second child a few months ago, has some ideas about what the reboot would be about, but motherhood isn't on the table, at least for now.

"I don't think she's a mom yet, but she might be getting there soon," she told Entertainment Weekly.

 

WHO ELSE WILL BE IN IT?

Hillary is definitely in, we know that much. "I mean I love her so much," she told Entertainment Tonight. "I think she was so important to girls at an important time in their life. If she could be important to them again at this age, I think that would be amazing."

But who else will join the reboot cast? Will Miranda and Gordo help form the iconic trio of our childhood? Will Kate Sanders be back to knock down Lizzie's spirits? Will Ethan Craft return as a heartthrob? So far, there's no news on the cast, unfortunately, but it's only a matter of time until more news of the reboot starts pouring out.
