Does anyone have an objection to being called a J-heart, as a Jin fan / stan?

I come across Jin fans, who aren't BTS fans quite a bit, here and off OH and I think it's time we had a name for ourselves, that everyone else can use and with his fondness for hearts, I feel like J-hearts is appropriate.

Also hearts alone is an options, if anyone knows if these names are already being used by any other fandom, make us aware, so we can figure something else out.

I am unfamiliar with other stans (of other members), do they have a nickname?

I think it would be cute in the means to greet fellow Jin stans.

 

But being the only ones to have an official "fandom name" may encourage solo fan culture (especially on twitter- the doom of humankind), which in many ways can turn toxic really quickly

lol Lemons has been thrown around for RM fans, very cute and apt imo, cookies has been thrown around for JKs fans off site, mochis for Minnie, suns for Hobi but the only on site one I can say is Lemon for RM, I think each members fans have something prepared.

I think it would be a pity to let the threat of some twitter trolls, put us off from uniting as Jin fans, he as the other members has many non-BTS fans and has gained attention from non-kpop fans as well and someone will have to go first, as one of the least messiest stans, I don't see why we can't be the ones to go ahead with it.

Also solo fan culture already exists in our fandom, one look at the maknae line fans in fandom shows us this, as does OT6 behaviour from most "OT7" fans and a certain level of toxicity against Jin / Jin fans has been there from the start, it isn't going anywhere anytime soon so I don't believe Jins fans need to stop any positive endeavours because of them.

We are a peaceful and strong bunch and can face any wank that may or may not come.

We have nothing to be afraid of my fellow hearts <3

I understand where you are coming from and as Jin stans, we did see a rise in numbers (much deserved may I add).

 

I just think we can have a nickname just like other stans without being too serious about it. Just like Lemons and Cookies, they are thrown around without much weight.

 

As you said, we are a mostly peaceful bunch. I don't think we need to take a firm stand to be taken seriously in our fandom or anywhere else.

 

I'd like to keep this place OT7 friendly as we may have ARMY visitors. I don't want to have our friends feel left out.

I really don't understand your last sentence, I'm probably reading it wrong? But it comes across as though you are saying that even though this is an individual member thread for Jin, for Jins fans, all of whom are not BTS fans, we still need to cater to OT7 fans? Despite the fact that we have an MT specifically for that already and that none of the other member threads proceed that way?

From what I can tell and my own experience, people who visit member threads, are doing it for the individual, they do not expect to see group things there and be catered for them, I certainly don't when I visit the other members threads. Also why would having a comfirmed nickname that we agree on and call each other, be something horrid or offputting to see on an individual member thread and one that would detract from our peaceful nature?

Please check out some of the other member threads, for BTS members or other groups, none of them cater to anyone but the member they are from and I would appreciate it, if our thread continued to be that way and didn't turn into a mini mt.

Also, reminder to everyone: I do not care of other solo threads or what is discussed there. All I ask is this place is left free of negativity, shade or anything tarnishing ANYONE's image. I'd really like to have more conversation about Jin and get POV of fellow Jin stans.

I don't why we are shut down in solo thread too?

I mean we should be able to have a serious talk with some critique.

I have been his fan for two years but it was so hard for me to get to know about him because Jin had been underrated and his stans weren't united so I used to think he had no talent and I quit listening to BTS because I thought it was unfair (yes, I was a newbie to Kpop and semi-solo stan back then - wanted to know more about Jin lol).

 

The first time I saw "us" being united was when Not Today happened. I seriously lost my patience lol. And I am glad other spoke up and put pressure on BH.

And there are so many sentiments around this topic.

I am not shutting you down. I apologise if this is the impression you got.

I am just discouraging conversations negative towards other fans or solo threads. This is not the place for that.

I love whenever (I'm screaming at this mistake "whoever" ) Jin tilts his head back.

It is a rumour because of the "grey hair" peeking out of his black hair recently   It's too much to be actual grey hair. So people have been speculating.

 

 

I am glad he voiced that he gets depressed too. His persona is happy go lucky so it's good that this side of him is shown to more fans so they understand he can get upset too. I also really appreciate how he handled the situation very maturely (apologising and afterwards saying his pride was hurt even tho he understand it's a useless thing). In fact, both sides and all OT7 handled the situation pretty maturely and I am glad to see their bond as a group so strong.

Soooo I updated the OP for now! 

 

I learned photoshop literally like yesterday so sjkdfhsjh be nice please! The links are slightly updated but I kept dorkprincess' structure and all (unless someone has a complaint about it). Also I kept the Eat Jin gif header by Chimney. For now at least!

 

I hope you guys kinda enjoy it.
