On a scale of 1-10 (1 being terrible) how is the public transport service in your country?

-8/10

It's chaotic

I couldn't even get inside the train to go home today because it was really full, so full I couldn't go pass the door

I had to wait for the next one and it took several minutes

There is also the bus, it's dirty as fuck, full with cockroach nests, with no air conditioner on

I'm from Brazil (Rio) btw

Edit: I have to be honest tho, the subway is okayish

horrible

Buses are always late

or come 20 minutes early and leave you behind

Unreliable

Sometimes they just go "fuck you coval" and gt do the last 11:30 bus which i need fter my shift so I have to get a bloody taxi :twitch:

Country side is an absolute mess

you're never getting anyway theres no services for you.

Private buses are where it's at, at least they'll fucking pick you up to and not leave you waiting 3 hours rolleyes.gif

(idk if you can tell but my bus to college was 2 hours late yesterday"

The subway is 10/10

Train is like 9/10, it's late sometimes

For the bus, it depends. In the city it's 3/10, constantly late and disgusting, not to mention the random changes in routes without updating their maps online to let people know. Stressful af to be in your normal bus and slowly realizing it's going through places you don't recognize at all, my heart dropped every time thinking I had taken the wrong bus...

Out of the main cities it's 0/10, basically nonexistent. It's very hard to move around outside main cities if you don't have a car. Going to school was a pain in the ass because of it. If I missed the bus in the morning, it was faster to just walk 1 hour to school than wait for the next bus...

buses are alright when they're not on strike!! probably a 6/10 when they're on time, can't really complain sans for the reckless driving of some bus drivers!! (horrific in cities ) but all around ok sans for prices lol

trains are another story. I hear they're great down south but up north... they're ... a pass for me

in the US, public transportation varies by state as well as city, and down here in Southern California, public transportation is absolute shit and/or almost nonexistent in the suburbs. It's why you need a car to get anywhere in southern California. Like from my house to the closest grocery store, it can take me only 5 minutes by driving, but somehow the bus system turns that into an hour long ride because they go via a convoluted route and it also involves transferring to a bus on a different line because the first bus you get on doesn't go that way. It's ridiculous. So it's a 1 for public transportation in the southern part of Orange County, I don't know about north Orange County.
