as soon as you dip into the 'he's too pure for that' mentality you're bound to get disillusioned sooner or later honey; it's best to prepare for any possible outcome bc after all you know none of these people personally and have no actual basis to actually believe they're 'too pure' for anything

What about people stop seeing Idols as pure innocent souls that can't do any mistake ? Humans ain't perfect, they make mistakes and make the wrong desicions. Kpop stans like to blow things out of proportion which is a phenomenon i have only seen in Kpop.

Not particular speaking about Seungri's case.

But i'm quite shoked about the different reaction towards international Kpop stans and western artist stans.

For example if a western artist is caught taking drugs, the majority of people will be like '' OMG is he ok... please go to a rehab'', but if a Kpop Artist is doing the same ''What a scumbag i always knew his trash put him in jail''

Not saying doing drugs are ok, but the reaction to it is very different, while western stans seem to be more understanding it feels like international kpop stans are very close minded, which i think is quite weird knowing that they actually grow up in less conservative countries, with a better understanding for drugs, mental illnesses and humans imperfections. It's like they adapt the korean mentality. A mentality that is formed based on their culture, laws and traditions, which i-fans are not part of.

So I'm always quite confused when i see people being disappointed that their faves ain't perfect when we know how western Artist are.

Humans are the same everywhere, prostituation is everywhere, doing drugs is everywhere, why should it be different in Korea ?
