Thank goodness, I was worried they were going to repeat the perfection that it’s LotR trilogy. More Silmarillion material is what we need. Second Age includes the rise and fall of Númenor (Men’s greatest civilization which existed west of Middle Earth), rise and fall of Sauron, creation of the rings, wars between Sauron and Elves, Elves and Men joining forces against Sauron, and in total it lasts 3441 years. So there’s a lot of story to be told.

Please don’t suck, please don’t suck, please don’t suck.

It is a big name to live up to. The books and the movies are amazing. Even if it covers another timeline than the originals. I hope it is good. I rewatched the movies last christmas and they still hold up really well

Since they are using the poem of the creation of the Rings of Power it is likely that they start with the creation of the same and the deception of Sauron to Celebrimbor. As long as respects and is faithful to Tolkien's work, any material about the Legendarium is welcome in this house. lovestruck.png

So excited that it's not a retelling of the lord of the rings as the movies were perfect. Hyped for the fall of Númenor, Sauron and the forging of the rings.

Hoping for quality actors and production.

That was in year 2 of the Third Age. The events that led to there were never shown on the screen. Beside, it's not about the ending, it's about the journey and characters. And so many interesting things happened in the Second Age.

Considering Amazon has allegedly handed over a 1 billion dollar budget, there will be no excuse for suckage, anything less than flawless will not be tolerated
