AKB48 team K member Matsubara Natsumi announced that she would be graduating from the group at the “‘Omoidaseru Kimitachi e’ ~AKB48 Group Zenkouen~†held at TOKYO DOME CITY HALL on May 5th.

 

Matsubara also updated her official blog, and expressed her thoughts.

 

“I announced this at the ‘Nounai Paradise Performance’ today. I, Matsubara Natsumi, will graduate from AKB48.

 

I’ve experienced many things this past 7 years since I joined AKB48. It was the 7 years I had both good and hard times.

 

The only reason why I was able to come this far in AKB48 until now is because of you fans who always support me, the staff members who make AKB48 together with us, and the members who always make me laugh, so I was very happy.

 

From now on, I will go on a different path.

 

My dream is to become an actress. I guess I got the opportunities to appear in stage play, drama, or movie, just because I was a member of AKB48. I’m sure only hardships are waiting for me after I leave the group.

 

I do feel uneasy, but I am now looking forward for my life after the graduation.

 

I can’t say that I’m not sad, but I will run through the rest of my time as AKB48, with my full effort so I would not let my tears to have a chance to shed!!!

 

I will make an announcement regarding my graduation date later!!!!

Can they just stop letting them graduate for a while? It's like every week is another girl graduating 

 

I'd much rather they let them go than have the girls hanging around wasting their time in a group they don't particularly want to be in. I know it's not the case with Natsumi, since she was woefully under-promoted but they're also taking up space that could be used to help the new chapter of AKB, since management seem to be so focused on that. 

 

Graduation is definitely a good thing in Natsumi's case since AKB wasn't doing anything for her. Hopefully now she'll be able to do more of the stuff she wants to do.

The group is way too overcrowded anyway...we have 20 something KKS waiting to be promote and the teams are all over the limit..At least this will give someone else a chance

 

Tho Team K taken alot of hits this year  :sad:

This is true.

 

Kinda sad that even though she's with OgiPro, and the rest of the OgiPro AKB gang is in a sub-unit, she wasn't. Along with Micha, that is.

I would love it if they actually promote pretty KKS, yet all they do is promote fuggers.

Pretty faces can only go so far

Since AKB young gens are boring like fuq I rather more average looker but fun personalities/decent performance skills

Its not like I'm watching AKBINGO to stare at their faces....:|

The biggest problem is: They are neither especially good looking nor entertaining. AKB is full of such new gen girls.

 

Most girls (but not my Fuuchan :ilikeit: ) in NMB are also fugly as hell but at least they can make up for that with their humor and antics. :donthinkso:

She was like the only member of her team didn't rank top 64 last election. There was like a bunch of articles about her sitting alone by herself. She was never popular anyway even after 7 yrs of being a theater nugu so it's not like this is a shocker...she declined participating in this year election before this

1.7 million worth of handshakes, 8-9 different editions,buying hundreds of copies so someones oshi can rank, and theatre tickets....you're right their sales are totally not inflated or anything and i should know that the general public loves them so much that the wota's only make up about 10% of these sales. Silly me  :rolleyes:

Anyways it was just a joke and i read all the comments in here to know one of her main reasons of her leaving probably was because she was under appreciated.
