Best way to approach someone who is quiet?

I'd observe them (not in a creepy way) to see what they're interested in or how they talk so I can have a better understanding of how to walk up to that person I want to be friends with.

Them being quiet doesn't mean that they don't wanna talk to you. Just talk to them (in the right conditions of course).

If they don't talk much, it's fine, try again a couple times without being pushy.

And that is all.

People have this misconception that quiet people don't want to talk at all times or some weird thing. They're just willing to talk less often.

You need to be super chill and patient.

I'm a very quiet person myself but in the right environment I prefer to approach someone who seems calm and quiet. If it's someone I bump up frequently I will just try to make eye contact with her and that would be it. Then, when I feel more comfortable, I would just try to say hi to them or just smile. After that I find it very easy to approach them and getting to know each other better.

It doesn't work in all situations and it relies in making a girl notice you just by eye contact and in 'everydayness' but that's like my style with me being a very quiet and relaxed person.

In my work for example I've met a very cute and extremely shy girl who would avoid making eye contact with me and would barely say a word to me . It was very awkward but no matter how quiet a person is you just have to keep acting normal and being friendly with them in a very casual manner.
