Eviee 4,784
Journalists often mention BTS when kpop artists go to USA, like for example with Twice: What will be Blackpink's answer if they are asked too? They are clearly warned by YG to never mention BTS especially in good way YG would get heart attack if his princesses talk about BTS in good way or even dare to say that they paved way... well THAT would be entertaining

blue7kaoru 17,423
I don't think it's gonna happen. I'm sure the management usually goes over the questions before the interview, and it doesn't apply only to BP ofc.
Timur Sharapov 2,056
Yep. They always mention BTS with other groups like Twice, Monsta X or even NCT. But they don't dare do it with Blackpink
CookieMaster97 7,456
the questions are usually pre decided. jyp and bang pd have decent relationship so i dont think the company or twice minds the BTS questions. yg on the other hand, he only needs BTS when its to talk about how much better blackpink is in his articles

Just Peachy 1,282
Tbh I would not be surprised if YG has sent a list of allowed questions to all interviewers, just to avoid that scenario lol
johnnyrose 12,654
Then they get asked about BTS.

CookieMaster97 7,456
What about Monsta X? NCT? idk if they were ever asked. I think most companies wouldn't mind it cause nothing bad really comes from it, but I know for sure YG would.

Chouette 3,383
I doubt that pre-planned interviews will have such questions, but sometimes when they do red carpet interviews, questions can be spontaneous. For example, there was a question in this interview asking which other Kpop groups BTS thought can break in America, followed by a moment of awkwardness among the members (see 1:50) before they all went, "BTS!" and "I love BTS" lmao these dorks As for BLACKPINK, if they got asked the same question, it'd be easy for them to give an answer since they have a lot of label-mates who have potentials. But if they got asked about BTS specifically in some kind of spontaneous interviews, I imagine they would probably be super vague and generalize their answer about Kpop rather than BTS themselves. BigToe 3,402
idk if they were ever asked. I think most companies wouldn't mind it cause nothing bad really comes from it, but I know for sure YG would. The one interview where they were asked what they thought of bts being nominated at the Grammys. That's the closest theyve gotten to being asked about bts I think

aespa Monster Rookies 4,395
They only would be asked about this if they are spontaneous BTS could be asked about this for example too like how now a a KR GG is also conquering the world though
BlinkleBee 2,701
Exo weren't asked about BTS on their US interviews as well. I guess if the Group popular enough there is no need to ask about another Group. I think asking about another Group is quite disrespectful in general, like the way they asked Monsta X about BTS Grammy nomination/attendence (idk), the boys looked quite irritated but still answered it nice, i did understand why Monbebe's were pissed. Besides, there haven't been much interviews with BP in the US apart from well known shows with good interviewers. If you check all interviews that asked a Group about BTS you will notice it came from YT channel blogs hosts nothing that was live aired on a tv show or something or spontaneous red carpet interviews. yeongwon 2,631
i dont think he would care that much, unless they said something controversial. they'd likely give the standard idol answer.

plutto 9,419
Like other said, their management (both YG and UMG) would not allow it to happen, the same way BTS' management doesn't allow the interviewer to ask them about their "celebrity crush" or useless things like that What about Monsta X? NCT? Monsta X has a good relationship with BTS (plus I don't think their management is good enough to filter those questions) I'm not sure about NCT though. Do they have any management in the US other than SM itself? If not, then maybe it's because of that
Nina09 134
Questions are pre-approved by their management. I doubt they would allow it unless it's convenient.
