I honestly was more of a Disney kid, but there was no Disney Channel in the Netherlands unless you had satellite tv (which I did cus, yk, ehtnic parents lol) so I didn't have many people to fangirl with over Hannah Montana, Jonas Brothers, Shake It Up, Wizards of Waverly Place, Suite Life of Zack and Cody, The Proud Family, Kim Possible, American Dragon, Lilo & Stitch, Phineas & Ferb, etc.

 

Meanwhile Nickelodeon, DUTCH FOLKS OUT THERE WHEN I SAY HUIS ANUBIS YOU SAY!

House Of Anubis was based off of the Dutch/original version that aired here istg one of the best shows ever lmao completed my childhood tbh. Also, Zoey101, Drake & Josh, iCarly, Kenan & Kell, Winx Club, Rugrats, True Jackson VP, Big Time Rush, Back At The Barnyard, Ned's Declassified Survival Guide, Naked Brothers Band, etc.

 

Examples of Cartoon Network: Dexter's Lab, Power Puff Girls, Teen Titans, Kids Next Door, Ed, Edd N Eddy, Johnny Bravo, etc.

 

lol I used to always get into fights with my brother over the TV. He wanted CN, I wanted Disney.

 

While I can relate to people around me over Nick shows, I'm kinda emotionally attached to Disney shows hah. Also, Disney had the best original movies and CROSSOVERS omg.

 

Original Disney movies: High School Musical, Camp Rock.

 

Crossovers: the most iconic colab between Jonas Brothers and Exes

omggg what a throwback i used to watch it ALLLL the time when i was 10 sksksksksk it was that show in my class.

but i only watched the seasons that nina was in (i think it was up to season 2?) when she left i dropped that show ://

 

oh and i watched disney and cartoon network the most. disney for hannah montana, wizards of waverly place and the movies every friday. i watched adventure time and the amazing world of gumball on cartoon network lol

Disney through and through. I loved Lizzie, Suite Life, Hannah Montana, Proud Family, Thats So Raven, American Dragon, and KP. Those are all so iconic in their own right.

 

And while HSM was my #1 Disney original I also loved their other DCOMs: PIXEL PERFECT (I was obsessed with it tbh), Luck of the Irish, Stuck in the Suburbs, Cadet Kelly, Cheetah Girls, etc

lol yeah honestly i don't even know what tf happened to her she just dipped and never came back lmaooooo i remember everyone was crying for fabian at my school because she left him. she was the main character for the first 2 seasons.. but the show flopped and eventually got cancelled after season 3.

 

i wish we got a movie ughhhhh english remakes for disney and nick NEVER do well... house of anubis was one of the most popular kids shows i can't think of any other shows that could rival it back then... they should have make a movie for the english version because i remember when it was a huge rumour :(((

I was definitely a Disney kid. I enjoyed Nick as well, but not as much as Disney. I think Disney did great with their original movies. I  still keep up with Disney even though I don't like some of their new shows.

I was both a Disney and Nickelodeon kid. Nickelodeon first, then Disney once I got a bit older. Now I don't have interest in either, but I also don't like stuff on Cartoon Network either other than what comes on during Adult Swim and Toonami, and like 3 shows that aren't Adult Swim content.

 

But I can definitely sit and watch some old early to mid 2000's Disney Chanel shows like Lizzie McGuire, Famous Jett Jackson, The Proud Family, So Weird, etc, and watch the old shows that used to come on Nickelodeon like Doug, Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life, Are You Afraid of the Dark, etc.

wtf omg i literally cannot imagine the storyline without nina

 

fabian and nina were cute or wtv but i was all for noa/jeroen (jeroen is jerome according to wiki, cant find a counterpart for noa)

 

this was the season 1 cast guess who nina is lmao

 

our biggest plot hole is that appie (2nd guy from the left in the picture above, was apparently called alfie in the english version) went from curly hair, pale skin moroccan to black and...... nobody fucking noticed or said anything except his uncle who slept in their garden with a goat omg.

 

if the dutch version is available with english subs you should def watch it!! just for the sake of a happy ending hah

 

the movies were "Pad der 7 Zondes" and "Wraak van Argus"

 

Pad der 7 Zondes, if you can find it with subs, is a MUSTTTTTTT watch omg. It's about them being stuck in an altered reality where they face the 7 sins and need to save Nina by not falling for it or they'll turn into stone (i think, my memory might be a lil hazy).

i loved pretty much everything on cartoon network, after that it was disney channel with their live action shows. for some reason i often didn't like nickelodeon shows. edit: okay maybe i did, you named a bunch of great ones. i just remember not considering myself a nick kid
