Physical Sales

Big Hit: 50%
Artist: 50%

Additional physical sales: 30%, 70%
Overseas promotion: 30%, 70%
Other types of promotion: 50%, 50%

BTS is earning so much.

original post: here

1. They seriously give them so much money

2. Is this from their official source?

3. They never confirmed this officially though

4. In your dreamsã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

5. They renewed their contract so this might be the newly negotiated terms, I really wish they gave more to the artists

6. This isn't official, anyone reading this post would think that they get treated well domestically

7. This is not official, but we all know that Big Hit do indeed treat their artists well!

I won't be surprised if this is true i mean they bought house with cash and no loan and they own like $50k-$70k watches which more expensive than hyundai palisade they currently promote lol.

Thats very generous, if true.

What does "additional physical sales" category mean? What makes it difference than the first category of "physical sales"?

IIRC, I was told on another topic it means reprinted physical albums. After the first press of albums is complete, additional physical sales would then apply.

if this is true bts are making a hell of a lot of money from tours

that's true for all artists, with the exception if the artist get high payment for CF but has lower quantity attendance which is quite rare.

physicals, streams or digital earn peanut. the end game is always so they can tour.

What this same thing again but now it is just Big Hit alone and not the one with all the companies.

Nice to see most Knetizen don't seem to take this seriously since it is just made up BS with no source.

Well actually it has a source and it is freaking  https://kbizoom.com/ but when they posted these companies profit distribution infos on their site they didn't provide any source where they got them.

Personally I feel these percentages are unnecessarily high end in BTS' favor? I feel like fans who share these posts don't put enough consideration into how much work is put into these projects outside of BTS alone. Honestly they don't need to be earning half the profit to be millionaires.

This sounds too good to be true 50:50 still make sense tho but all of them renewed their contracts so Big Hit must have treated them right, that's all. We don't really know since they never confirm and with BTS position now, they can walk away if they're not happy since all of them composing their own music and they have strong fanbase, so I guess they're happy with the current contract.

First I don’t believe this at all

BUT

If we talking purely profit aka whoever needs to get pay already got paid then it wouldn’t be too unreasonable. 30/70 for oversea is similar to other companies like SM and JYP, physical sale pay peanuts, other promotion can mean a lot of things. It can mean CF which doesn’t cost Bighit money so that’s pure profit. Bts don’t do tv appearance. 50/50 profit for concert isn’t too unreasonable either since that’s where singers make most of their money and it’s the most labor intensive work for them.
