okay so uh i read nct's concert date wrong and it turns out its on a friday so i'm pulling up imstupid.png

i've never been to a k-pop concert, never seen a k-pop idol, etc but i have been to concerts, one in the seats and one in the pit where i almost died had it not been being held up by my bro and people were having panic attacks falling down etc and had to leave to pit and i swore for that to never happen again and i would always do seats BUT!!

the way its looking like if the venue has a pit (which it most likely will) i want to be stage side so uh,,,, whats a k-pop pit like

presumably its not as bad as the last one i was in because it was full of 6 feet tall high white dudes (demographic of the group's fans) and it would just be girls around my age this time but how bad is it?

also unfortunately my father wants to come with me fore "protection" el oh fucking el but uh ..... yeah idk how thats gonna go

I've seen GOT7 and KARD.

Concerts are loud. Very loud. Like the bass kicked in at the KARD concert and I felt it all through my body. And crowded. You will sweat like hell, your legs will hurt by the end, and you'll probably lose your voice by the end of the concert as well.

I wasn't in the pit but

a lot of jumping, screaming, and really loud music

it's sweaty and hot and afterwards you'll be really tired and achy

worth it tho rlytearpls.png

would you recommend seats over pit?? like does it impede the experience

I've only been to one and it was amazing! The atmosphere was buzzing with so much excitement and energy made it more memorable. But the concert went too fast. Mine felt like it was only 30 minutes.  I think seats are better than pits :d  especially if you are eye level with them but then again I am a short person so I would never want to take the chance of being stepped on or have my view blocked.

i think my thing is mainly (1) if my father wants to come with me that would impede it in terms of being in the pit but i guess i'd feel like i'd miss the chance of up and close interaction? but i feel like unless i get to the like barricade which didn't happen for me last time i won't have that option and i'll be blocked rlytearpls.png plus i don't and won't have a lightstick for nct

I've been to several with different sizes in venue as well. I've been to huuuge venue like Madison Sq. Garden (Smtown 2011), that was my first concert I've ever been to and I was just too excited to be there. I had seats and I enjoyed it,  don't remember too much bc it was so long ago.

I would say I prefer smaller venue like the one I went to Monsta X's concert last summer, it felt a lot more intimate. Of course I stood and danced throughout the whole concert but I liked the option of having seats, like I sat down when they were playing VCRs. Also I think its important to have a good seatmate. I went with my close friend, and the girl who sat next me was great, she was so hyped.

I've been to even smaller and standing concert for Dean and DPR. Dean, I had a great experience and somehow made it standing on my feet all night (btw I went alone, idk how I did lol)  but DPR (also went alone lol), maybe bc I was going there from work and had wait in line, for like 2hrs I was exhausted and my body hurt so muchh. I could barely see the artist which sucked, honestly I couldn't enjoy the concert as much which is such a shame bc DPR is fucking amazing.

I think I'm too old also broke for pit lol

Kpop concerts are honestly so muuuch fun, like hearing the fanchant, seeing everyone sing along, and random other stuff, it can be wild sometimes too. The vibe is just different, like there's this intense shared interest idk but it's pretty cool. I hope you have a lots of fun at the NCT concert!!! I wish I can go but life priorities and shit lol.

Tip: have your phone fully charged, don't try to use it too much before the concert, take extra phone battery chargers.

I've never been to the pit but

the concert I went to didn't have a 100% full pit so it didn't seem too bad, so if I could I would've gone to pit

but I'd prefer a good seat to a full pit

not 100% crowded pit >>> good seat >>>> good spot in busy pit >>>>> bad seat >>>> bad spot in pit

??? DFGDFGF

I've been to two at different places and I would go for the seats. It's hard standing for two hours in a pit full of people, plus you'll probably get hit a lot by lightsticks. People have gotten crushed to death in pits. Kpop concerts are so much fun, especially if the fans sing along. I was just waving my light stick with my banner frantically while screaming the entire time XD

Lol yeahh, I am def. blessed to have seen them esp during The Boys era which one of my favorite. I had exam the next day but I was like nahh I need to go to this concert, thank goodness I went bc I was able to see OT9 also bc they never ended up doing a fucking U.S. tour, what a shame  rlytearpls.png

The opening of Genie was everythingggg!!! Taeyeon looked so pretty, and her vocals. They killed it. Of course I was like one of the few around my section screaming my lungs out for them bc everyone around me was bg stan smh lol.

I  also went the next day to their Soshified fanmeeting, I missed the beginning (I missed the performances ugh :0 ) bc I had class but I was able to catch somewhat of it. Got closer look at them, they were so pretty. I think I still have a clip of Jessica singing Almost & Yuri's "drunk" english that I recorded on my blackberry then haha.
