For any of you guys with tattoos, how much does it hurt? I see people getting tattooed shaking and cursing and I've heard stories of people passing out and pooping on themselves. So is it that painful? It's a little scary. edit: Also what is the scale and what kind of pain it is like? Maybe an analogy? idk I just wanna gauge. The filling in needle actually felt soothing to me (could just be me finding it nice in a bizarre way others wouldn't understand). It all really depends on location and how well you can handle pain like others said. Imagine your leg or arm falling asleep and you feel this numbing, sharp pain. But the pain goes away eventually, just gotta keep lotion or petroleum jelly handy cause it will itch and you cant really scratch it My ex has a side boob tattoo, she said it was mostly the muscle part targeted. Like others said, it hurts more the closer to the bone you get, so like ribcages, elbows, shoulders and feet. For me, it felt like a constant paper-cut, definitely felt it, but it was more annoying than actually painful. I’d say a 3 out of 10 on a painscale. It doesn't necessarily reduce, but if it takes an hour for your whole tattoo to be completed, you wouldn't be focusing on the pain for the entire time. Get something small your first time. I have two on both my shoulder blades and they didn't hurt bit the one on my stomach hurt like shit.
