Your opinion on trans athletes in women sports

This comes down to an even more basic question which is : do you think men and women should have different categories? Is the difference in physical strength profound enough to justify that? If your answer is yes, then having trans ppl isn’t fair because we are assessing the biological advantage the male sex has over the female sex.

If you say that the difference isn’t that different, then perhaps we should consider joint events or maybe it’s no big deal either way.

Since I don’t know the answer to this question, I have no opinion on it.

Trans women are not real women. Just because you think you're a woman on the inside does not mean you're biologically a woman because there's only two genders.

This person is a trans boy, no?

I remember seeing news about how he wishes to compete with men, but the authorities makes him compete with women

Anyway, this is a complex subject that I don't fully understand, so I won't express my opinion

I think is an interesting discussion that should be guided by an ethical commite, because they are women, but there should be some kind of advantage to the biologicly born women to balance the competition; it's complex but not impossible to discuss, overall because it is happening and the conversation must happen

Instead of encouraging people to come out as trans, we should be encouraging people to accept the bodies they’re born with instead. When your “trans†I think that shows a lack of self acceptance

If you don't walk in their shoes then you shouldn't speak from their perspective; it's like me having an opinnion about Oslo politic, I have zero to none clue, and  it would be just making noises with my face hole adding nothing rich to the conversation

So a pro trans rights advocate’s opinion doesn’t matter if they’re not trans? The only reason you’re saying my opinion doesn’t matter is because my opinion is politically incorrect.

i think it should be a case by case situation

there are trans women like Jazz Jennings

that would be better off playing in the girls team- she'll get seriously injured playing with the boys tbh

Hmm good point. I think it depends on when they started transitioning. During the growth period, guys will put on a ton of muscle due to the testosterone. It's hard or maybe impossible to reduce it later on. But someone like her transitioned when she was 6. Definitely before puberty. I think it might be fine for them to play with the girls.

Hmmmm I dunno if messing with their hormones is the awnser ( it's not ethical either), but maybe making the platform or rules more accordingly to the imbalance of the fight in favor of the biological born woman

I agree with most people here. Regardless if they are transgender, they have a biological advantage that these other women could never gain which makes the whole situation unfair. I understand that they want to be part of the community, but they also have to respect that fairness is the key to sports events. So, it rather makes sense for the trans women to be competing in their own sport and, for once, to push away the political correctness argument.
