I bet it's just pathetic people who enjoy being mad at Ariana. They probably don't even go to these pride events, because straight women headline all the time. Why does it matter, she's an entertainer that a lot of gay people love. If it were a Britney or a Beyonce they would be all for it.

I cannot understand why a straight woman would be headliner for pride ever when you could give the opportunity to so many lgbtq singers and celebrities. That said, pride hasn't been meaningful and any more than just a party for mostly straight people to feel good about themselves in a while so this is quite in line with it all.

I think people are also mad cause they raised the ticket sales to 70$ and made it 18+

who the fuck cares which celeb clowns will headline pride. as a gay I was never interested in it and think its redundant, just an opportunity for exhibitionists to dress and act like whores, how thats supposed to support us I have no idea

I personally see no issue with her performing as a headline. She's a big ally and also a big name to book. I'm all for finding performers who are queer and deserve the spotlight, but it's also not like they just booked a random gig and said fuck it. This probably means a lot to Ari in more ways than one. Going to support Manchester and her queer fans who look up to her. The only problem I would have are those ticket prices.

It's...just entertainment. As a gay male myself, I'd rather see Ariana than some unknown performer just because they're LGBT. Like I want to enjoy myself and the music. Not painfully sit through some bad set just because of their sexual identity.

It was a gay person who started the thread on twitter with over 60k likes and Ariana responded to and they has a very civil convo about it you can check on her twitter. It's so annoying when people keep going to the SJW as a catch all for everything. Everyone involved were very respectful with their viewpoints so even tho I understand where they're coming from, I can disagree with them. LGBT could also use straight allies but it is fine to have discourse since no one are screaming at each others.
