Why do you think BANGTANTV don't sub their content?

Tbh I don’t why understand it either. Why can’t bighit hire a english translator? If BTS are truly going to being a global group, bighit needs to provide subbed content. They can’t rely on fan translators forever.

Possibly..

-Bighit don't have a dedicated team for just translating.

-Less blame on Bighit/BTS, if something is wrong

-Don't want to favor English speakers

-Fandom have become reliant and stronger with out the subs.

Fans translate it better,BH trans are often flat and people re trans some things.

Compared to DVDs bangtan bombs don't have Korean or Japanese sub's available too. So its not only towards English speaking people.

If they add English then they would need to add at least 10 more languages. This way anyone can do it in any language

Yeah, i thought about the too many languages problem but then they do it for their vlive vids. Though come to think about it vlive must allow adding third party's sub right? They do eng subs but many other languages that appear later must be fans'

The MVs are subbed, I guess that's where their priorities lie.

MVs help with awards, rankings and attention. So it make sense. (Tho most fans still watch lyric videos lol)

Bangtan Bombs and Episodes is free content for fans.

Naver has an entire translating program and department. And yes they let fans participate too.

Less worry and stress for Bighit, since it's not them.

Probably wanna keep the content specially for the K-Armys

So now it's problematic that BTS are speaking in their own language? LMFAO

In case people were not a aware, this is Korean Pop and BTS are Korean haha

That's pretty much it. Bangtan Bombs are just random behind the scenes stuff, even though many like to tote it as Big Hit's great and revolutionary marketing strategy to make BTS successful.

Vlive is subbed by vlive, around a 1,5-2 yearsago they added option to add fan sub's. You can find it in meni and is specifically says fan subed.

In begining they didn't actually have English sub's, as it got bigger they added lots of languages. But they aren't perfect sub's that's why they allowed fan sub's too.

Sometimes translators make remarks on twt to explain a joke or slang, bcs vlive sub's didn't mention it

They are Korean people who translate into other languages, since they also aren't familiar with culture of the language they translate into things get a bit lost.

Even fan translators make mistakes while trying to convey it in right way.

I don't really mind them not subbing it, but isn't there the option to allow other people to add subs to videos on YT as well? Why don't they allow that? They'd still keep the fansub culture and at the same time could make it easier for fans to find all the content in one place...

I think in the beginning they probably didn't have the money to waste on hiring a translator and now there's so many established fandom translators that they probably don't think there's a point. Also, the people who will watch bangtantv's content are also the ones who will be willing to search for subs themselves anyways because they're that invested in the boys, unlike mvs which casual/nonfans may also look up
