Yujeong in Nonhyeon–dong has seen a major increase in customers. The restaurant used to be a favorite hangout of the boys when they were trainees and thanks to that, more foreigners travel to eat there.
“We had a huge increase in foreign customers since BTS topped the Billboard chart. They look for seats where the boys used to sit, and they sing in unison even when they are having lunch when a BTS song comes on.†— Kang Seon Ja, owner of Yujeong

no offense but can u delete the quote... it already took a long time to scroll the OP then ur comment made me feel like "well i just wasted my time again"

No, I can not repress my opinnion for you to feel better, but I'll tell you what you can do since you think is so easy to come for people on the internet, you can choose to keep scrolling down and pass it if it's so hard for you to read it and focus on the things you as an individual want to "express"

I watched a vlog about a girl going to visit that restaurant. Maybe it's just me, but even though I'm a BTS fan, and I want to visit Korea, I have no interest in visiting places just because 'BTS went there'. I feel like so many people patronizing a restaurant will make the food quality go down because they're no longer just selling the food, but 'The BTS experience', and I'm really interested in Korean food so I want to try the best things lol. If there's a shooting location that's particularly beautiful in a MV, I might want to go there, but otherwise not really. Maybe it's because I'm more interested in Korea overall than I am in just kpop.

But I mean, I still continue to be impressed by BTS and hallyu's economic power. Hallyu has taken SK from being a nation known in the west for...well basically a war half a century ago and for being more developed than some other countries in asia, to being known as a true cultural powerhouse, and a desirable place to visit and perhaps live. And BTS has just expanded that more.

If they don't give them military exemption.........

I know it's an unpopular opinion, but since if you read up on it, even ballet dancers are eligible for the exemption, someone who energized the economy and elevated Korea's status as much as they have certainly should be as well. It seems pretty unlikely they'd take it though, given public opinion. Those guys who got the exemption for obscure awards for sports and classic arts wouldn't have been in the press much, so probably no one cared. BTS are known by the average person on the street so there'd be an instant outcry and probably neither their company nor the guys want to deal with that. But this is unprecedented and it's interesting that it's also happening at a time that a. people are starting to talk about how the draft and the full two years of service may be excessive, and in fact they're currently planning to reduce the months of service required (and they also recently increased the salary of enlisted- a volunteer military seems pretty far off still at this point, since no one would join for ~400 USD per month, but maybe someday....); b. conscientious objectors can legally chose to do alternative service instead of being jailed for the first time; and c. reunification of some sort seems increasingly less of a pipe dream. But I don't think it's ridiculous to talk about this at all.

Some people are initially interested in traveling to South Korea because of BTS (or Kpop). Normal.

The members have been to different restaurants too. Reasonable, expensive and etc. A person can help narrow down where to eat at and still get a good Korean experience.

Here are just a few places they've ate at in Korea

I want to try them too. Also the places they go internationally also look great.

About those BT21 pop up store Europe, Middle East and SA exists too BH ent.

More seriously, their brand power is something else. I have to say that stanning them makes you curious about the country itself, their culture, customs and I plan on visiting it. In all honesty don’t really care about the places they went to but they tend to recommend interesting spots and cultural locations be it during their run ep etc. Same thing for their Bon voyage episode. BTS is to South Korea what Rihanna is to Barbados at this point.

About this exemption thingy, it’s a sensitive topic for countless reasons but I can’t help but think about a delay, they are way too valuable but again doubt that the boys would accept any kind of special treatment who knows
