It seems like they're always trying to throw some typical hype or fanservice tracks in there that deviate from the theme. The rapline's mixtapes are the most cohesive albums they've released bc there's none of that 'idol album, gotta have some tracks for the fans!' kind of thinking. Tear, Wings and D&W all suffer for having random tracks that don't meet the theme. Anyway i'm excited. I hope the way tear was recieved by fans and nonfans gave them confidence to keep going in that way and playing to their strengths for the new album. Yes there are always those random songs lol. However, I'm not sure they care. Not RM and Suga when it's about BTS either. Hype/fun songs are a major part of BTS image - color. It's usually their hype songs that are popular. Also some of these songs are produce solely for live concerts . Notice with Tear, all the hype songs/fan songs are performed.
