This is what Joon meant when he said the album gonna be organic

that was actually my biggest problem with Tear, a great album, but Magic Shop, So What and Anpanman have zero business being in tear.

the album musical style was really thrown out of wack with those three songs

Hearing So What and then jumping into Outro: Tear was so jarring to me  0u0plz.png

Like having another Jazzy song in tear would've helped instead of those three

Looking forward to it, I trust Joon - he said it and this man is going to do it lmao

^ well until Joon/suga is in total control of BTS albums, I don't know if it's possible. It seems like they're always trying to throw some typical hype or fanservice tracks in there that deviate from the theme. The rapline's mixtapes are the most cohesive albums they've released bc there's none of that 'idol album, gotta have some tracks for the fans!' kind of thinking. Tear, Wings and D&W all suffer for having random tracks that don't meet the theme.

Anyway i'm excited. I hope the way tear was recieved by fans and nonfans gave them confidence to keep going in that way and playing to their strengths for the new album. Joon described the new album as organic and if it's a cohesive as mono, we good

I sort of see what y'all are saying about the flow of their albums. Kpop groups, in general. Yes there are always those random songs lol. However, I'm not sure they care. Not RM and Suga when it's about BTS either. Hype/fun songs are a major part of BTS image - color. It's usually their hype songs that are popular.  Also some of these songs are produce solely for live concerts . Notice with Tear, all the hype songs/fan songs are performed.

Anyways, I don't think this what RM means by organic. idk tbh.
