I've only been on allkpop for a few days and I already prefer it by far. But before I depart, I'll list some of these reasons. Don't treat this as a rant, but rather my perspective on issues with OH that can be improved on. First of all, the way reputations are implemented affects discussion negatively. You can't blame the victim and say "stop caring about negs" while you contribute to their reputation drop and sit on a high reputation yourself. You should be blaming the site admins for making reputations so passive aggressive and discouraging to honest discussion. At least in allkpop, you don't feel alone when you have an unpopular opinion because you can see your likes; and the people that disagree with you will actually state their opinion rather than anonymously neg your posts. I believe it's a combination of reputation, younger users, and Won points that make allkpop threads on average have higher quality posts per thread. It is very common in OH for people to post "idc", "no", "umm idk", "what" replies or ignore the OP and waste valuable front page real estate in a thread. This isn't a major issue in allkpop from what I noticed. OneHallyu may be more polished, visually. But it is also much slower because of all the loading. For what it's worth, this trade off isn't for me. And of course, some of its features aren't working, like search. allkpop has more trolls, but that's not a bad thing because the atmosphere is warmer and users are more likely to joke with them rather than gang up and tear them to shreds. OneHallyu has great threads where you can be cordial and serious about your stans, but that doesn't mean every thread has to be politically correct. This is a pop forum, not kindergarten. Mods shouldn't be locking every thread with a negative keyword in the title before they even cause problems. With that said I've met a lot of friendly people here and I can't blame OH's users for its toxicity. I blame OH's poor design and hope that they fix their shit because it has potential. I’ve noticed that mass negging is pretty common, especially if you make a critical comment about a group without any malicious intent but fandoms would only perceive it as hate and neg because everyone else is. And I really like reputation things, so I can know if s/he's troll or not when come to her/his page Why even short reply is a bad thing? My English is bad so I usually reply in short .___. Barely saw those too if the thread only asking yes or no, or just like you saying goodbye but still bring down people here Lol, I am in other forum too (not kpop), but the loading is worst somehow there. Agree with search bar tho, it used to work Atmosphere here is really warm tho, OH brought me to join fandom, I'm really happy here OH layout is the best tbh! I only saw your posts the last few days and they mostly seemed to want to start a fight and not a dialogue. "Which idol group's members don't get along" and "which group has smart fans" have a lowkey negativity that is going to bring short answers and not thoughtful responses. Still I wish you good luck.
