I sent someone a message on fb messanger but it’s sent not delivered but the person is active?

They've either blocked you

 

or it's facebook's weird system where it'll appear the person as active even if they're offline

If you can still see the person's profile on fb, leave a like or post a comment on his/her post, then it's fb being weird. Resend the msg again. If not, you've been blocked.

‘Sent’: The message will be tagged as ‘sent’ when you’ve data connection and you send the message to the other person. The message continues to stay in ‘sent’ status as long as the receiving person is not connected to internet or messenger or Facebook.

 

‘Delivered’: Once the receiving person is connected to messenger or Facebook, the message gets delivered to them as a push notification to mobile or a web notification. At that point, your message would be updated as ‘delivered’.

 

‘Seen’: Once the receiver views your message, the message status would get updated as ‘seen’.

 

IDK what's "active" meant but probably fb glitch

if its the second one then it's either 

 

a. fb glitching

b. that person doesn't have messenger but has fb 

c. you've been put in 'ignored messages' (not sure about this tho)

it means they get your message and can read it but it's in "requests"
