A huge weight must be lifted, congrats baby!

Honestly for a 19 yr old to have such a huge lawsuit and no career prospects ahead must have been so stressful. No wonder iKuns are so hardcore in their support. IP was the best decision he ever made.

Why did he terminate his contract?

Why did he terminate his contract?

His company was taking around 70% of his earnings I think and overworking him.

Why did he terminate his contract?

The contract was unfair and the company basically made no effort to promote his group properly, plus some costs that they should have covered as a company were charged to the boys instead, further reducing their income.

He cut all ties with them and started to do his own thing, but they sued him for breach of contract and asked for either ridiculously high termination fees that were stated in his contract, or getting a share of the money he's been making by himself after leaving.

I don't know which line of defense was the most efficient for Xukun, but it's a very good precedent when it comes to the future of c-idols, compared to their Korean counterparts. If he could win this lawsuit, other idols in his situation now know they can sue their company and win, which will probably make the companies much more cautious with how they treat their idols, and prevent the type of situation so prevalent in Korea, where an artist is signed with a company but is left to rot in the dungeon and can't do anything about it.
