At the beginning it looks like blood boiling and when it shifts over to blue it looks like raindrops racing each other down a window pane. Afterwards it changes and resembles a meteor shower, then it looks like magic residue in the air, then the afterglow of a dark summoning ritual, then a magnification of falling glitter. During the first chorus it looks like melting stars. TOP's section makes me think of uptown lights and skyscrapers. It keeps morphing itself slightly and each morph is just as pretty as the last. The first half of Taeyang's section somewhat resembles under the surface of the ocean, where there are specks floating around and the sunlight's still able to glint off of them, and the second half looks like embers as they float up from a fire. The clouds and stars afterwards are especially beautiful. First, this song's so great, even changed a little. I think I've listened to it half a million times now and when I watched this, I went back and re-watched it three times and then went to find the broadcasted version and watched it a few times, too. 0:55, what a lovely action pose for all my Bangtan bros. It looks like it belongs at the end of the opening theme for a cartoon. Next at 1:06 out of all of them, Jimin somehow manages to resemble a witch-in-training trying to get off the ground on his broomstick and it not quite working so well. I don't even know how he did this, but he did. Speaking of Jimin, he in particular impresses me in the chorus sections, his moves are so sharp and individually defined, which is why he always excels really well in more powerful dances and it can sometimes look kinda off in softer ones, but it doesn't look off at all here. lol @ whatever Rap Monster's doing at 1:12. Then at 2:49 til 2:58 I felt my hands slowly go up to either side of my head as an involuntary reaction to the nice voice going into my ears and filling up my skull. Lastly, I really like this choreo and want a dance practice. There are so many dance practices I need! When he rushes into the room, shakily closes the door, and starts looking for something to defend himself with all in a flurry of panic, I started to feel a tension rising in my chest and my breathing slowed a little. The dim atmosphere, the way he bows his head, and the way his tremblings hands are almost cupped together in a prayer-esque motion but not quite due to how fear-ridden and upset he is had me completely enthralled. Next it flashes back and forth between where the dudes are ganging up on him and the girl (I'm guessing someone important to him but not exactly a significant other) is giving him the bandana to put over his neck wound in a loving gesture, giving a little more insight into the significance of when they rip it off him and throw it back down on his face. I noticed that in the MV of course and it made me cringe then 'cause having something with a special meaning taken away from you and then hurled back in a mocking manner really does hurt, but here since it was longer it felt much more painful... And him observing the street musician at the end also made me feel so sad and like I want to be there with his character. I think all this is doubled 'cause I've always, strangely, felt a twinge of protectiveness over Daesung, so him playing this role brought it out a lot stronger and made a special effect the other members wouldn't be able to achieve quite as heavily. First, the stage is really beautiful - it looks like an art project. The floating orbs, fragmented design pieces, and clocks appeal to my personal taste a lot, and the color scheme that was chose - the low golds and browns - give it a calmer, contemplative feel as opposed to being melancholy, had it used cold colors. And I'm glad. There are so many gestures in here from the members I really like, such as GD putting one arm around Seungri, Taeyang raising his mic to his mouth every few words during GD's part and bouncing about behind them. And 0:38 - 0:42 sounds so nice. ^^ The position those three go into as TOP enters is perfect enough that I wanna gif it later. GD's little hand movements is as though he read my mind and knew I was gonna make those myself while watching. 1:39 = lecture TOP, yay! Another thing I've always liked is how they all have their own slightly different way of interpreting and performing a dance piece, it makes it much more interesting to watch, and it's very visible here during Daesung's part especially. 2:07, my panda friend. And then Taeyang's facial expression at the end's perfect. From 1:42 til 1:56 I feel like GD's voice is hitting me like a relentless maroon hurricane. lol @ TOP at 3:32. All of the raw energy seeping out of my screen and earbuds and curling around my brain makes me feel like I should have my crown lighstick out. But my favorite thing here, aside from our favorite fae-creature and how precise and sharp Taeyang's and Daesung's movements are, would be the way the lights turn down at the beginning, in the first half of the chorus both times, and as it shifts over into the final section. This cover possesses a little spark of magic in that despite this, every time it happens to come up it feels like it's entering my skull for the first time. Whenever 1:31 hits, I feel a little piece of my heart at the bottom start to curl up, and then at 2:01 that piece drops off but instead of hitting the bottom with a plank, it gets carried off by a little moth. His voice contains its own vast and abyssal atmosphere, with just the tiniest touch of whimsy and emotional backing found in the way he enunciates and rapidly yet smoothly moves between high and low at all the right times. I figured this was a crowd song when I first heard it and that's really confirmed here in an actual concert setting; it has a new life breathed into it and transforms itself.
