Though unable to coalesce [my features] into the brows and eyes[2] of your liking,
have a faceful of blessed happiness, to be banished at your will.
Though unable to spread [my body] into the muscles and bones[3] of your infatuation,
do possess a chestful of choked up emotions, laboring only for you.
By some stroke of luck, a hallucination emerges. face upward to [feel] the emotional stirrings [and I] curl up to gain true comprehension.

We are all animals that were smelt and cast[4.1],
Foreordained to embrace sandy soil[4.2]. There is no need to be obsessed with the sweet dew[4.3] of legends.
We are all on the homeward journey after having been abducted and sold,
Crawling while striving to be first and fearing to be last. [We] have attracted enough breathtaking incidents of this world to cover [us] from head to toe.

do not have a superstitious belief in giving unconditionally [in a relationship],
But you are absolute perfection [and] I suffer in my self-love.
[it is] too lamentable to take selfishness as wealth.
[it is] only thanks to the fact that time has been merrily spent in self-mockery that [there is something that] counts as eye-catching.
What a pity that a hallucination emerges. [i am] empty in [my] laughter [and] satisfied in [my] weeping.

Even like this, cannot gain, in exchange, that one second of your rapt attention.
Disasters and blessings are no more than spiders upon a mirage.

T/N:

[1] This is likely a play on the saying 视觉动物, or "visual animal", which refers metaphorically to visually inclined individuals who base their attraction on/are most stimulated by visual input. This, by extension, can carry a negative connotation when used to described people who judge others only by their appearances. Here, you can interpret the title to mean "animals" driven not by visuals but by hallucinations.

[2] 眉目: Translated literally above, this term has also expanded to refer to facial features in general.

[3] 筋骨: Translated literally above, this term has also expanded to refer to physique in general.

[4] This is just food for thought. There is a method of [4.1] metal casting where the cast is made out of [4.2] sand (i.e. sand casting). However, the [4.2] sandy soil may be a further reference to death, upon which one "embraces" and returns to the soil. Should such death be inevitable, then there would be no need to seek the [4.3] sweet dew, which was, in legends of old, a water of the gods that conferred immortality.
