Well, the April thread is no longer really an appropriate place to post about her anymore, since she's no longer a member.

 

Just subscribe to this thread and you'll be updated whenever anyone posts something! If you backtrack, you'll see i shared many posts from a Twitter fan account that reposts her instagram uploads

And to DL photos from Insta, you'll need a browser add-on like InstagramDL

 

Or a simpler solution is to use viewer sites like Pictaram but i don't know if it will be taken down by Instagram one day.

if you want to save it directly to your computer, just do it manually like this:

 

take this link for example https://www.instagram.com/p/BJoweEJAzGj/

 

1) right click on the pic

 

2) click "view page source"

 

3) click Ctrl+F and type jpg

 

4) (at the first highlighted jpg word) copy the whole jpg link

----> like this https://scontent-kul1-1.cdninstagram.com/t51.2885-15/sh0.08/e35/p750x750/14072941_893242860807763_1922006807_n.jpg

 

5) paste the link in a new tab

 

6) tadaaaaa!!! you can right click and save the image to your computer or link it anywhere. it's already in .jpg format

I can't agree with that ... if we take that to it's logical conclusion, then we can't discuss Gyuri, Seungyeon, Sunghee, Hara, Nicole, and Jiyoung in the KARA thread, and, possibily even Youngji. I go by the rule, "Once a member, always a member."

I know right now the Kara thread is being used to cover all 7 members considering they've all gone their separate ways for now, but I don't know if it continued covering Sunghee and JingCole after they left, since i wasn't on OH then.

 

Anyway, that would be fine if the community culture as a whole embraces that rule, but the April thread is unspokenly not for Somin anymore (it's not what i want personally, it's what it perceive the norm to be). There's no universal rule, it varies from thread to thread depending on the community.

i'm a Somin fan myself. but since Somin is no longer an April member, it's kinda "hard" to talk about her (since she mostly posted about selca updates only).

it's not like she's very active in the entertainment field right now (as compared to Nicole & Jiyoung withdrawal from KARA).

unless she had connections/updates related to April, then, i guess it's ok to talk about her in the April thread.

Ok i feel like i may have gotten ahead of myself a little there, so let me explain.

 

Respecting culture, even for an online community like an OH thread, is an important thing for me, so i just read the trends and follow accordingly. I know passing references to Somin, and re-posting old OT6 media, and reminiscing about how we miss the original group, are all ok in the April thread, and i've done that myself more than a few times.

 

But no one has posted her IG updates for eg; and more lengthy discussions about her, speculation about her leaving etc have been put in spoilers for a while now. So i take that cue accordingly.

 

Also as a frame of reference, for eg, if you wanted to post every little thing Hyuna does in the Wonder Girls thread, i'm pretty sure the Wonderfuls there will eventually ask you to take it to her personal thread, or even the 4minute thread. This goes to show that "once a member always a member" can't be applied universally, it also depends on whether there is another, more appropriate place to put those updates.

AHHHHHHHH. i'm so glad somin is still in dsp. Been really inactive here because I couldn't get over the sadness of somin leaving the group. But I'm so glad she's still in dsp.

We don't really know what's in store in the near future, but we're all excited because undeniably, the sudden change in direction on her social media (from nothing about training to everything about training), is a sure sign that something is brewing. Nothing happens randomly in k-pop.
