On stage while performing with the bright lights, most countries/shows will look the same. Nonetheless - Undertones are interesting. "The lighting in America suits V's face really well.. They're either really red or yellow.." Pink/Red-ish: Yellow-ish: White/grey-ish: (Korea) Plus different make ups each have different undertones. And each show physical lights on set are different too. So base on all of these things one's skin tone can appear different depending on the situation. That's why at Korean award shows the red carpet is always lit like a public bathroom (I don't know if they're actually using florescent lights but it's what it looks like). And it's really unflattering on anyone who isn't really naturally pale. Whereas in the West, the standard of beauty is tan skin, so lighting is usually dimmer and has a red/yellow filter to give everyone a sort of golden glow. We prefer warm neutral or natural looking lighting.. Korea uses Flouresent lighting.. obviously to make it super bright and lighten skin etc. (which usually end up looking garbage) A lot of America celebs have openly talk about their hate for fluorescent lighting!
