MV is out!

Let me get this out first: The song is a BOP and the girls slayed! But tbh, I was disappointed they didn't sing in korean. I think Z-Girls are not a KPOP group, but a international standard girl group I suppose. The reactions from stans has been very positive, so that's a good thing. But I see some challenges for them in Korea. I do hope they will eventually make korean songs.

According here to this vietnamese news outlet, they are coming to Vietnam for promotion next month. Rough google translation:

"Zenith Media Content founded the Z-Pop Dream project with two Z-Girls and Z-Boys music groups to create a cultural exchange platform across Asia. It can be said that this is the first Asian group with a unique lineup.

To fulfill their ambitions, the two groups will not only promote in Korea but in the countries of their members. Here, Vietnam is the next venue that Z-Boys and Z-Girls promote and perform.

“The group will expand regularly in other countries. At the same time, each member's management company in each country also provides a lot of support for the group's activities, â€Queen said."

I'm very happy for the things they achieved so far, but I do still have some concerns.

1. The company behind the groups are doing cryptocurrency. That's some shady stuff. I don't want these precious boys and girls to suffer in some criminal activites done by this company.

2. They are saying they are Z-POP, not KPOP. Fine by me, but what did the company promise the girls and boys when they passed the audition? Because I've been looking on some of the audition clips, and many contestants stated they want to become a KPOP idol. But it seems they won't be, because they are Z-POP right? That means will they follow the same idol stuff like KPOP idols do? Or will they do things completely different?

3. If some of members thought they will become KPOP idol, but now they know they are not, can they still be motivated to continue this journey? Knowing you might not be joining music shows, variety shows etc...

I actually wrote the explanation of Z-POP everything about the company and the project. It's translated from Korean and also from the company website.

It seems that right now the debut and promotions is being funded by the tuition of the Z-POP dream academies. That is where Z-Girls and Z-Boys members were scouted from. It seems that Zenith will continue to debut new Z-POP idols from these Z-POP dream academies.

I've read your post and it makes me more worried. Zenith and Z-POP are going full cryptocurrency with all of this unsure.png  I hope for the sake of the girls and boys, they won't be so much affected by these schemes. Only good thing coming out of this is that it gives poorer South and Southeast asian nations a chance to experience a piece of how idol life works in Korea. Something it's almost impossible for them to do through the normal process.

This quote from your thread: Z-Project is to increase the global interest in the Z-POP Dream Online Platform, that will initially join to support Z-Project but will lead them to support other K-POP stars.

Does it mean the money Z-POP earns can potentially go to Zenith groups or somebody else outside?

I really like Queen and Joanne. But I feel like they are missing a korean member like... Is an Asian group, right? Where's our korean and chinese member?

Joanne is chinese, but taiwanese-chinese. But I think this project wants to have one member from different asian countries. But I agree with you, a korean member is almost a must if they want to do promotion in Korea and resonate with general public. I think also they should add one from Kazakhstan. A lot of visuals there that has East-Asia features.

I'm still optimistic for Z-Girls, but when I heard from a interview of Queen, that they were going to promote in their home countries, starting with her's in Vietnam, I got suspicious. Didn't these boys and girls signed up to this project to become KPOP idols and working in Korea? And now after 4 months of training, a debut stage with some stars, they will return to their own backyard and do promotions there? unsure.png
