Z Girls are an upcoming 7 member girl group from Zpop Ent that represnts all of Asia, not just east Asia. This includes South Asia, having the first indian kpop idol. Their whole concept is all about uniting Asia. The members are growing close to each other and they are currently learning korean right now. But they do not call themselves Kpop.

 

Their calls them Z-pop. What is Z-Pop? They call it music catered to generation Z or gen Z. What is Gen Z? 

Generation Z are the people born after 95. They love to bury themselves in technology and create a lot of creative content related to entertainment. The people from Generation Z are ethnically and racially diverse. The expectations of gen Z are they can be more open minded and are able to embrace differences. But there is a truth that most of this generation only communicates digitally. So most don't learn how to communicate their points vocally and politely. They say what they want to say and have little empathy and sympathy. 

 

Zpop. Created by a group of creative people who embrace differences as unity and strength instead of weakness. Combining the boy band and girl band systems with the progress of music.

 

According to their label Zenith Media, and the ZPOP dream team, the goal is to create a new brand of pop that appeals to Generation Z while using the principles of the Kpop training system. Debuting in Korea gives them the largest platform out of all the countries in Asia that were included, and the company is Korean itself, so this is also a reason for everything happening in Korea.

 

This group is also a PROJECT - part of of said project is giving the Z-pop stars the chance to chase their idol dreams. So it might not be way we expected. But it is strange to place all these expectations on a group who isn't claiming to be making a permanent K-pop debut anyways. The goal on their website says they are supposed to make a tour across Asia.
