Not a fan of the story also. I have watched the Taiwanese version (a few episodes) and the japanese version (Itazura Na Kiss:Love In Tokyo). I cannot be excited about this but will still try to watch when subs come out hahahurrplz.png hurrplz.png

Itazura na Kiss is the series in which I've liked all the adaptations of it. My favorite is the TW version! It's hard to beat Our Times. Loved that movie too. Will be looking forward to watching this one.

I think the original Meteor Garden is a classic, really began the whole idol drama movement that swept Asia, K-dramas won't blow up till a couple of years later though it's heavily argued Meteor Garden had a huge hand in making Asia responsive to idol dramas (of which K-dramas are formatted after)

but my personal fave version is the new Japanese one with Furukawa Yuki, he just does the role so effortlessly

Darren Wang should've stopped donning uniforms after Our Times

I'm so excited for it :) I have watched most of the adaptations so I look forward to this one. I noticed that in the trailer Darren Wang smiled so much. Should I expect a warmer Naoki in this version?

He is slightly warmer than the Taiwan and Japanese adaptations.

And so much cuter imo haha. :3

I really liked this movie version, and I think it > TW version as well. Darren Wang isn't as mean and rude to the main female lead which is so important.

I didn't like it. The ending felt rushed and heartless. The guy who played A Jin should have been Zi Shu, the main guy just looked old, more like a ceo than a genius high school student. That was my other problem, he didn't feel like Zi Shu/Naoki, he resembled him here and there but ultimately he was a watered down version. Also that opening scene..*sigh*
