BTS is among 1 of 10 idol groups to perform at a super concert for 2019 World Aquatics Championships

I'm excited to see Hobi in all his charisma and stage presence performing in his home town. Gwangju has been vocal in repping just where that boy grew up, talk about home town pride.

On the flip side though I'm beginning to feel like the "accommodating for bts schedule" is becoming a trap. There could be moments where BigHit and the boy's really don't wanna attend some event, but they'll get ropped into doing so anyway if these events are literally picking their dates just so the boy's can attend.

I also hope they'll be attending BBMA's, it's like 3 days later so there's still plenty of time honestly. But imagine they'd clear up their schedule for that date just in case bts get nominated for something music related. Also the added fanfare of having another American award show comeback.

Nah, i think if they really don’t want to attend, they’ll say there’s no open schedule at all. They may have accommodated this one because it’s Hobi’s hometown

i'm salty about this...if they choose a Gwangju concert together with other 10 kpop groups to promote a swimming championship over BBMAs............sorry, Big Hit, what global project are you talking about?.....imstupid.png

Eh I only say this because we had a whole slew of award shows shifting schedules for BTS, only for BTS to attend almost every single one of them. There's a lot of industry connections that goes into it too, I doubt they have much to harm the BTS brand. But for a company that has a new boy group about to debut there's a lot to leverage out of BTS, say for the sake of getting some nice air time for the rookies.

Tbvh until I hear a bleep from BH or BTS I’m taking this as another way for medias to have people’s attention and somewhat force BH to release a statement. They have an upcoming comeback and I doubt that this is more relevant than their personal goals.

If they attend well cool but meh theses announcements they made about their upcoming comeback promotions just seems to go in the opposite direction.

Interesting because

1. It’s far too close to BBMAS and you know if the boys would love to perform and would be asked. It’s makes perfect sense.

2. I feel like they are at such a level that they shouldn’t cater to those smaller kpop events like isac when their are bigger and better opportunities. And no they shouldn’t be used as leverage.

I’m not surprised they always publish these articles to bring attention and somewhat push BH/BTS to make a statement.

BBMAs are on May 1st and tbvh they can book anyone else for this gig, not like BTS aren’t preparing for their anticipated comeback too

I get the need of publicity but it’s tiring to have these shows using them like that, I’m still bitter at the gayos shitty treatment

The article has been edited (last updated at 8:28 PM KST), and now BTS’ name is nowhere to be found. It now says “10 top-tier singers (team) including famous idols†and “fit into singers’ schedule†rather than “BTS’ schedule.â€

So I guess BTS is not going

Lmaooo the clownery

See you at BBMAS then
