ArticleJeon Somi, "What's the rush? I'm a perfectionist, please wait for me" message to fans while preparing solo after JYP -> The Black Label

Source: Mydaily via Nate

1. [+625, -104] You never know how a person's life will turn out... She may have been I.O.I's center but she's far behind Chungha now... don't even know what the other I.O.I members are doing these days anymore. That's the downfall of being a project group. Breaks my heart to think IZ*ONE will suffer the same fate...

2. [+582, -142] I just want to know what she did so wrong to get kicked out without even getting to debut with ITZY

3. [+335, -66] She's basically shadow boxing

4. [+99, -6] I don't get why JYP gets hate for this when they're the nice guys. They're the ones who invested their money into training her star potential and they didn't even get to reap the benefits before she left for another agency. It's JYP that will be the one suffering from jealousy if she ends up hitting daebak without them. And yet, they still let her go instead of just tying her down. JYP's not like the other agencies where they'll cover for you if you cause problems or put you on the back-burner. They'll throw you out no matter how talented you are. It confuses me why people make JYP seem like the bad guys in this situation.

5. [+69, -6] Yang Hyun Suk mentioned The Black Label in his plans and yet said nothing about Jeon Somi. Meanwhile, ITZY, the group that Jeon Somi was supposed to debut with, is #2 on the charts straight after debut with hundreds of thousands in MV views... I bet she's writing on SNS to act like she's being cool about all this.

6. [+68, -4] Why is she speaking informally?

7. [+35, -4] Honestly, imagine how badly she wants to debut... I would've died from jealousy if I were her and had to see ITZY debut without me.

8. [+35, -6] Jeon Somi's voice sounds too much like a little boy's to go solo

9. [+30, -2] Why'd she leave JYP in the first place? She sounds desperate with the way she's writing letters like this. Her solo is all up to what kind of song Teddy can produce for her. Either way, JYP's the one that raised her and it's Teddy that's going to either enjoy the benefits or suffer the failure of.

10. [+26, -5] She's really trying hard to make herself seem like she's okay ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

Ok but I don't think anyone is acting negatively towards JYP for her leaving lol, if anything she's the one that probably got hate for it.

entertainment biz is fickle and people have moved onto the next big thing tbh.

you guys are the type that were hyping up jypngg on her name alone and are now acting like she's irrelevant since she left jyp

Where are the receipts? I've never hyped her up and have been indifferent. When she was in JYPE I was actually more interested in the other trainees.

what?? this comment really boils my blood. big companies are NEVER the "nice guys". and this whole "jype is a good company that can do no wrong11!!1" narrative is just wrong. they treat their soloists like absolute shit. they can barely manage a group for long term before things become a mess and fizzle out. wg was killed at their peak because of failed "u.s advancement" then when they were coming back jype basically pushed them out by focusing more man power on twice, miss a was almost purposefully placed on suzy's shoulders, only for her to be nowhere to be found now, they're a mess at marketing got7 and stray kids in the current kpop climate, ect ect. why do people think its impossible that it was something jype did that caused her to leave? they let people go all the time for no reason even. sure somi was different but so were so many others.

"are the type"

even if it doesn't apply to you specifically, ive seen enough of jyp stan's who are suddenly acting like she's nothing special when they were the ones initially hyping her as the next big thing. and they always make the same sideways comments about her being kicked, being greedy, being a has-been, etc

agree with everything you said but 1 thing.... wg were definitely done with being an idol group at that point. why so lonely was one of the biggest idol group hits of 2016 and wg were even competing with trendy groups that just debuted. they wanted to focus on their individual careers and theres no problem with that. same case as sistar

and on top of that twice was managed by a completely separate team.

Nate is nate'ing and Somi wrote this to her fans so if you don't care why are you here? 0u0plz.png

Somi fans really care about her debut especially since it's rumored to be next month, so hearing something for her, even if it's asking us to be patient is nice.

And the first comment talking about how someone's life will turn out, Somi isn't even 18 yet, how can you know or anyone know how her life will turn out.
