non-native speakers: do you use hard grind or hard graft?

The first time I saw "graft" l but here's what I found.

Tough grind and hard graft are semantically related. In some cases you can use "Tough grind" instead a noun phrase "Hard graft".

I've never even heard of the word "graft" before, tf

 

I've heard of graft as in skin graft (skin transplant)

it's a uk version of grind, just heard it in british documentary for the first time too

i guess i'd say grind only not hard that is if i ever said any of them...? like i'm on my grind...
