As representatives of a group involving yourself in needless fights and using their name to slander other groups will only open a window for hatred. Regardless of if that's how it should be fanbases have stopped people from liking groups before solely based on their behavior (and no this is not targeted at any particular fanbase). Keep in mind that your behavior can either lift your group up or bring them down. Take responsibility as a fan and uphold a positive image for your group and fanbase. You represent yourself and only yourself I can see where you're coming from but I think if you genuinely want a group to succeed and want the best for them as in any hobby you'll represent yourself well so that whatever you're endorsing will benefit. Too much of that "You dont worship at the alter of my favorite group = Destroy the hater" shit going on. Chill out.. it's just pop music lol. That is true, dissenting opinions oftentimes can be interpreted as hate. There's something to be said about how defensively people respond to certain statements. Even if you don't consciously realise it's happening, fans of a team or a group can leave a bad impression on you as you associate the two more and more over time. It won't make you hate the group cos ofc deep down you know that the bad fans have nothing to do with the group, but it definitely can set you back from checking a group out or liking them beyond a certain point I guess. You can't really say this is just kpop it's not a big deal. If there's fights between fandoms then how is smth as simple as bad fans leaving a bad impression on groups so outrageous.
