Can looking at a screen damage your vision

i heard its a myth it doesnt damage your eyes it just makes them tired which can cause headaches.

if you have problems with your eyes it would have happend anyway

I actually read that it's a myth too, but I don't know what to believe. My vision keeps getting worse, but I don't know if it's natural or if it's caused by me constantly looking at a light screen.

i often have days where i lose clear vision after hours upon hours using my laptop

 

like everything is an absolute blurry mess unless i squint

 

it definitely strains your eyes and makes them dry

 

so im guessing it probably does damage your vision

damage because of looking at a light screen was proven wrong long time ago unless its really bright (eg sun) but your eyes would hurt too much to look for too long

the only thing that could strain the eye is looking at a close screen but my doctor told me that the muscles in your eyes work like the ones in your arm you cant wear them out . they only stiffen when you get older
