I hope that we can see her in the 2nd half of the year in a drama or variety show

ㅇㅇ If Kim Sejeong was not talented, I wouldn't say that she could go solo but it's such a shame because her skills are solid... she did acting, variety and even won a rookie award but I just don't see her group doing well.. to be honest, her group has been promoting for 3 years now and has never won #1 on any music show. But her solo song was #1 on the charts and she even won #1 on music shows. I just feel like her agency is hopeless... they should let her go solo or at least put her and Mina together and maybe with Mimi too. If they had a group with 5 members with both skills and visuals, they would've hit bigger than with what they have now. The gif is the legendary PR Sejeong

ㅇㅇ Pitiful... I hope that they push her as a solo from now

ㅇㅇ The company is giving her back so little for what she's done...

ㅇㄱㅇ For sure, she can't do much with Gugudan.. first of all, she does suit solo but even if she doesn't get a solo, at least put her in a group with lesser members; right now, there are too many members in her group. A group with 4 members would be alright

ㅇㅇ Kim Sejeong is real pitiful... She's pulling the group all by herself and is the only one going on TV, and just as she started to get a bit of recognition for her group, the company starts pushing Kang Mina as a 1:1 deal. And now, they are only pushing Mina... to be honest, she's only known for her successful diet, not like she was super good at singing or anything... geez

Kpop industry isn't a charity

People only have interest in Mina, Sejeong

(Nayoung, mimi & hana to a much lesser degree)

Why should they have to support the other members if they don't care about them?

But that's the reality and byproduct of the Produce system. You can't expect people to stan a group when they don't feel a connection to the majority of the members, relying on the popular of one of two members to pull the whole group along. Which is why the most successful Produce graduate is Chungha, who went solo. In that regard, I suspect Somi will do well as well. Nuest benefited from participating in Produce because (1) they were an existing group, and (2) 4 out of the 5 members participated.

It’s not a charity, so the other members shouldn’t get screwed just because people want to be lazy & inconsiderate to only care about a select few

Edit: Neg until your fingers fall off, I said what I said

i would fearlessly say. this is the effect of them debuting ggd while IOI was on. sejeong is the most popular one w/ somi. it's honestly wrong move. dividing IOI and gugudan fandom is the worst thing jellyfish did. jellyfish did released good music but their promotion is lackluster.

this is another story but i still remember when produce was airing and they announced that kwon eunbin will join clc. her ranking drop from top 11 and she got so much hate. they tried pushing her as a center of clc but even now she's not the most popular member.

I don’t buy the “so many members†bs. There’s 8 members (9 before), it’s not that many. I also don’t believe that if this group were 4-5, suddenly Knetz would care about the rest of the members.

This is what I fear most when IZ*One disbands, certain people will give the other members of the post groups the middle finger just because they didn’t originate from the winning groups. Because we see how that works with the groups (aside from WJSN, they’re thriving pretty equally).

1. What a waste of Sejung's talent to debut her in a group of many members.

2. their songs and concepts are not bad but nothing stand-out either in a jungle of many GGs

It’s 8 previously 9, It isn’t that many (legit only 2 more above your bias group). Haebin, Soyee, & Nayoung are just as talented & the other members are good too, so it’s inconsiderate to put off the other members hardwork & efforts just for 1 member.

They can make an effort, problem is they don’t even try. All the other members efforts & hardwork shouldn’t be overlooked just because certain people want to be biased, cynical & inconsiderate towards the rest of the group.

Same with Pristin

Just debut the PD101 contestants only!

Again, inconsiderate. How would y’all feel if you or you’re loved one trained years, worked their asses off, putting their best efforts to achieve their dreams. But just because they weren’t on a show let alone in the winning group, they gotta get the middle finger for that & being pushed away?

That’s beyond disrespectful!

Poor Sejeong.

All her talents are wasted.

The smart movement of former P101 is being solo.

The trolling akgaes sure are repetitive

But I only care about Sejung because of Produce.

If you're unhappy about Sejung getting all the attention, then all the more reason she should leave.

With her popularity, she can pull off a solo career, then other members can shine on their own without Sejung in the group.

Why make her sacrifice all her potentials in a group of 8 more members. If that's not a waste I don't know what is.

The Gugudan thread on oh is a sad witness of their situation, you have probably one or two contributors there rlytearpls.png

The mood surrounding the group is not too good, they have been labelled a failure and their fandom is too weak right now but as i've said previously, i think there are a lot of Sejeong fans waiting for a chance.

Maybe they should make a weekly vlive with Sejeong crushing her members in different disciplines, i would watch that hurrplz.png

You cant dictate what people should like or not and then pull the inconsiderate card

People are free to support/care about who ever they like period

The company rushed their debut which resulted in a never ending fight between gugudan and ioi fans. The debut concept wasn't what the public expected either so people lost interest real quick. The gap in popularity between them was and is also just too big, jellyfish should have promoted the girls in a similar manner to pledis while having Sej and Mina focus on IOI.
