We now know that this wasn’t the case and that the wave of negative press and media rejection she faced had little to do with how the public saw her, but everything to do with a petty and maniacal plan hatched by CBS chief Les Moonves to “punish†her for the incident. A plan, executed with help from the very media apparatus Janet’s work had fortified for years. People have been calling out this BS since it happened, and how weird it is that the moral police won when most people thought the boob reveal was understandably controversial but not worth blacklisting an artist just for that.
