Technically the jokes aren’t about him getting deported, most of them are about the fact that he was British this whole time and nobody knew.

I think the situation is crazy/sad but the British jones are in fact, hilarious. Demi would’ve been better off just staying quiet, after the drug overdose thing she would’ve known people would think she was a hypocrite :/

Whether the jokes are funny or not, it doesn’t change the fact that Demi knows people will come for her and that for her mental well being she should steer clear of unnecessary drama like this.

I mean everyone was joking. He's being deported from the US to the UK, people are joking that they didnt know he was British. I honestly wouldn't have forseen this response: it's barely controversial.

To be fair, I see where people are coming from.

Considering how others had her back and refrained to make jokes of her near overdose, it would make sense that people expected her to return the favor and not make light of another person's distress. Both situations are not at the same level of seriousness ofc, but it does come off as somewhat hypocritical.

The jokes are funny. Point blank.

They act like he's gonna be sent to a 3rd world country or like he cant get on a plane. In the 13 years he was here he should have been applying for citizenship.

Although tbh...I have a friend who it actually took 13 years for it to happen. As in they finished paperwork and it took 13 years for any type of response...
