All three will executive produce for FX Prods. In Answer Me 1999, the timeline moves back and forth between a group of friends’ past as high-school students in the late 1990s and their present as adults. It is described as s a musical journey through the most transformative decade of the modern era — one that catapulted us into the digital age and forever changed how we interact with each other. The original series aired in 2012 on the tvN network (watch trailer below). Answer Me marks the TV debut for Andelson and Meyer, who have feature Naomi & Ely’s No Kiss List in production. It is the first scripted series for Chu who comes from a dance/choreography background and has produced several dancing online series, in addition to directing the dance flicks Step Up 2 and Step Up 3D as well as the Justin Bieber concert film Never Say Never. He recently helmed GI Joe: Retaliation, has Jem and the Holograms lined up and is in talks for Now You See Me 2. Andelson & Meyer and Chu are repped by Principato-Young Entertainment and attorney Allison Binder. Andelson & Meyer are additionally repped by UTA, while Chu is with WME.
