[AJ] Fetus group CoCo debut with average age of ~11.5, somehow still not the youngest K-pop group ever

As I have been preparing for the all-important Super Bowl this weekend, it’s come to my attention that K-pop has another fetus group to follow GP Basic. At the time of their debut, the average member was 13.5 years old, new group CoCo has just debuted with “Talk Talkâ€, and their members average about 11.5 years old.

Given that GP Basic were controversial at the time and Janey (who was 11 at the time) couldn’t perform on music shows due to regulations, I’m surprised there hasn’t been more talk about that this time.

The amazing part? They are not the youngest group to debut, as G.Story had an average debut age of 9.75.

Idol life is hard even for adults but for kids who arent even teenagers yet ... well I hope they have supportive family members there to catch them when they crash and burn.

Idk why people are freaking out over this, as if they’ll be a group promoted the same way too groups are promoted. They’re from a nugu agency, so they’re likely gonna do a few events at most. Not to mention there are laws that protect underage idols.

Double standards...

when JYP partnership with China to create Boy Story, that have the same median age as Coco, people were silent.

Thankfully Korean Laws prob will insure that this girl group won't last long. due to having a gg this young they can't promote on music shows. With groups that young, they usally just get rid of the younger members.

ETA: they are'nt idols at all, i sorta found out, It's just a music club type of thing. The "company" they are in is a dance academy so technically they are just role playing as idols.

Why they had a showcase already but don't have any official sns if this dance academy have plans to keep the group going? I'm not understanding this strategy...

pretty much, i just think it's most likely a role playing thing. They can't legally appear in music shows, variety shows or anything so they won't be exposed to the schedules that regular kpop idols would be exposed too.
