The actress may not be making her showbiz comeback after all

 

 

 

 

Fans of Chinese actress Fan Bingbing rejoiced earlier this month, when pictures of the 37-year-old modelling a new line of sunglasses were released by eyewear brand Prsr. The pictures, coupled with talk that Bingbing might begin shooting for Hollywood spy film Wasp Network soon, reignited hope that the actress will be making her showbiz comeback soon.

 

However, last week, it was revealed that she has since relinquished her role as the legal representative of the media company, Wuxi Aimeishen Film & TV Culture.

 

New reports have also stated that the actress had originally invested in the company together with her fiancé, Chinese actor Li Chen. But, the actor has since taken a step back from managing the business dealings of Wuxi Aimeishen as well.

 

As there seems to be a prevailing ban on all depictions of the actress in the entertainment field, it is now reported that she will be assuming a behind-the-scenes role. Instead, she will be supporting her younger brother, singer and member of the pop group NINE PERCENT, Fan Chengcheng.

 

An insider also shared that the staff members of Bingbing’s work studio have since turned their attention to Chengcheng, and all of the actress’s resources will be transferred to him instead.

 

Bingbing was hit with a hefty fine in September last year, after first being accused of evading taxes by signing 'yin-yang contracts' in May 2018.

I dont get why Ifans babied her so much last year. She should be behind the bar at this moment if she were a normal chinese citizens. But because of how big her controversy internationaly,even the goverment cant put her in jail. Even the amount of fine she had to pay was nothing, compare to how much she accumulated from years of double contracts and fraud. Her bro is lucky as well that he debut before this controversy leaked to the public.

As for her Chinese career hope she'll make it back someday. Tbh I'm not her fan and have seen very few pieces of her work so far so it's no big deal for me if she disappears from the business for some time.

He is both signed with Yuehua and set up his own personal studio right about the time Idol Producer ended. They had plans to prop up his solo career a long time ago.
