ArticleSeungri remains silent on Burning Sun assault scandal... does he have legal responsibility for what happened?

Source: Sports Kyunghyang via Naver

1. [+2,686, -71] Pisses me off that he's still staying silent...;; he can run the gears in his head all he wants, he's still stuck in a mouse hole. Just reveal it all and retire.

2. [+2,533, -33] There was a report that a high profile table put a date rape drug in a woman's drunk and raped her. Apparently, that report is already being filmed by a TV show but why is there no news on that?? Or is the police and YG filtering the news too ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Too bad I don't think this scandal is going to be buried so easily like that

3. [+1,798, -17] Who was in that VIP room that the woman was dragged into? I want news articles on that case too. And if the police were bribed, who gave them that money?

4. [+1,597, -40] I will be skipping anything Seungri pursues in the future. Please don't think of compensating anything with your music, I don't ever want to see you again ã… ã…

5. [+1,119, -37] Seungri's had his name in the scandals for years over being perverted in bed, now he's caused another scandal with the way he runs his business.

6. [+471, -3] Really enjoyed that clip of your staff protecting their laptop while a woman was being dragged out by her hair, Seungri-ssi

7. [+295, -2] I don't know whether it's true that they drugged women and raped them regularly at the club but I feel like I can guess the answer for myself after seeing the CCTV footage of a woman being dragged out, sigh.

ArticleSeungri spotted on Hyoyeon's Instagram the day of the Burning Sun assault, fans comment "run away unni"

Source: Sports Kyunghyang via Naver

1. [+1,933, -33] Seungri even told a female idol on a variety show to pour him a drink, he really hasn't fixed any of his bad habits... The club is known for date raping women and the most the club is going to do is fire the person in question? And the owner himself is staying quiet... Does he think all of this will just go away if he stays quiet? Naver is trying so hard to take all these articles down right now.

2. [+1,471, -33] Seungri-ya, you can do whatever you want with the money you make... but don't you think you should at least be a decent human being? This whole scandal needs to be exposed... Hiding and staying quiet won't solve anything. I don't think even Yang Hyun Suk can help you out of this one...

3. [+1,256, -51] Women at your club were fed date rape drugs in their beers... Seungri-ya, I bet you that even you participated in those drugs. He came out on TV acting all kind and nice while running a business off of drugs, violence, and rape behind it all... bribing politicians and police... I'm going to keep my eyes peeled on this scandal. Seungri better be jailed...

4. [+973, -22] So this little thug was making money in all sorts of dirty was while acting like he was so upright and moral on TV?

5. [+726, -14] Never a quiet day for the Druggie YG celebrities ã…¡ã…¡

6. [+203, -2] This is daebak. I just read a blog post exposing the club and apparently staff put in date rape drugs in the drinks and raped women twice a day?? Am I really reading this right?? This is something that the country will flip upside down over. Everyone involved in this needs to be thrown in jail. This is the type of scandal that will make sure his life remains in jail. Seungri can never show his face again if this is all true.

7. [+197, -1] One thing's for sure... people better make sure that he learns how scary the public can be once and for all. Stop fangirling over his ramen restaurants and night clubs and show him what reality is.

8. [+93, -8] Why are fans telling Hyoyeon to "run away", they're all one and the same. I bet Hyoyeon is worried for Seungri right now ã…‹ã…‹

Article[Exclusive] Burning Sun retorts video suspected of 'date rape'... reveals outside CCTV of the woman

Source: Asia Econ via Nate

1. [+670, -6] So where's the video?

2. [+506, -8] And what about the explanation on beating the victim?

3. [+451, -7] And why is there still no clarification on why they beat the victim?

4. [+95, -1] But wow, all the articles have been taken down ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

5. [+94, -1] YG's lobbying is insane, all of the articles have disappeared ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

6. [+87, -0] Wow, where'd all those articles go???

7. [+77, -0] Whether it's true or not, the way he was pulling the person out looked like it happened often

8. [+68, -1] There are a lot of opinions saying the CCTV video of the woman is a different woman from the assault... Even if the club is telling the truth, why would you ever pull someone out by their hair? That's not something a sane person would do.

9. [+59, -0] Such quick clarifications for stuff like this but they remain quiet on things that look bad for them ã…‹

10. [+55, -0] So where'd all the articles go? Why are there only statements from the club left? There were a lot in the top rankings just until 2 earlier.

11. [+52, -0] Look at all the articles that went down ã…‹ã…‹

12. [+43, -0] Wow, this is amazing, I saw with my own eyes all the articles being taken down..

13. [+42, -0] So you dragged her out by the hair on the inside CCTV and then what? on the outside CCTV, were you spotted putting her stockings on for her or something? ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ Make up all your stories, it won't work.

14. [+41, -0] They're probably releasing CCTV footage as they see fit... and leaving out all the ones that make them look bad.

15. [+37, -1] I saw the CCTVs on SNS. The woman who was being dragged out had bare legs while the CCTV the club released was a Thai woman wearing black stockings. So did they stop in the middle of dragging her out and put stockings on for her??? ã…Žã…Ž

The fact that yg is spending more time deleting articles than giving a statement or even urging seugri to give a statement is disgusting. Who knows how many lives of women have been ruined because of that cesspool of a club.

The management is liable to what happens at the company. If he was part of the management he should indeed be scrutinized and held accountable.

For some reason I doubt he was managing the club himself lol . He should be investigated but if  management didn't know about it then can u hold responsibility to them?

That’s not how it’s works. Being a part of the management means being a part of company. Either it’s on the board or the committee or he owns it. If you don’t know what happens at the club you own you do indeed deserve to go to jail for negligence. That’s how it works.

If you say you know : you are a criminal

If you say you don’t know : you’re still a criminal

That’s how this works.

He the owner of fucking course he has legal obligations. Even if he personally didn't witness or was aware of exactly what his staff were doing he certainly would be made aware of any police investigations against his club made by customers.

With bribes if he knew even a hint or didn't do any checks (eg why a certain amount of money is always spent on something) then he is still responsible as again that's his club. Wee've seen the likes of Ronaldo and Messi have criminal records for tax evasion even though it was their accountants/family doing dodgey stuff because at the end of the day they are responsible for their taxes, they are responsible for their final actions, not those employed by them. Seungri as owner would be no different.

Also YG deleting articles or manipulating naver, come on now that's a major abuse of power as they're protecting Seungri and possibly getting in the way of a proper investigation being conducted. Pure trash. This isn't the only time YG has covered for him, that mysterious car accident and getting of the ambulance also had articles deleted iirc.

That's literally not how it work unless u live in a very corrupt country wtf... if negligence was done sure but if a boss do check and nothing comes out then responsability fall to individuals.

What lmao??? This is how it works in NON CORRUPT countries that follow the law. If you are the owner/head of a company you are responsible for the actions that happen there. This is why CEO’s go to jail or other management heads for crime committed by their employees along with them. Esp of this magnitude

This is from USA law for exemple sake.

. In its defense, if an employer can show that it exercised reasonable care in preventing and correcting any reported harassment and the employee who claims to have been harassed did not lodge a complaint with management, it will not be held liable.

Like I said it's all about negligence or knowledge.  If a CEO isnt managing its employees or wasn't aware of harrassment they can't be hold liable. Anyway this is ot so I'll stop replying.

As I understand it, there is a criminal and civil component to this case - the criminal part being the breaking of laws, and the civil part being the restitution of damages to the people affected. To prove Seungri's criminal liability, the prosecutors will have to show evidence of his complicity in the alleged crimes i.e. date rape, assault, etc. and knew of / abetted these crimes. Just because your staff commits a crime doesn't mean that the employer is criminally liable. However, he would be considered complicit if he wasn't involved in the crimes per se, but if he was aware of those crimes and sought to cover it up by deleting evidence, paying off authorities, asking the media to take down articles (obstruction of justice). Even if he is not criminally liable, he as a director of the club still faces civil liabilities as the persons involved were assaulted on his premises by his staff.

kinda funny
Until last week, Seungri was best CEO in Korea, "his business was a success thanks only to him" said the fans. Ygstans even said he should take the place of the YangBrothers.

But now, he just had his name on business. imstupid.png

Never saw any VIP say this. However, I saw reports of Aori Ramen employees saying something along thos lines, yes. VIPs want BB OUT of YG as a whole, not run it. There's a difference.

I didn't see anything about YG mediaplaying for Seungri or deleting articles, in fact he stays quiet and won't get involved. Because, guess what, it ain't YGs business.

Ya'll should do your own digging instead of just reading other onliners comments on an issue they don't know shit about either. They're not better or more knowing than us just cause they live in SK. They only read online sources too. Keep that in mind. None of the investigations/ reports of police even mention Seungri. Neither the girl or Mr. K mention Seungri either.

This will be solved in the coming days and we'll all see what'll happen. Seungri not making a statement so far is perfectly normal. He's prob doing what his lawyers adviced him to do.
