ArticleWanna One, a group with an accumulated sales of 100 billion won, why would they disband...

1. [+622, -6] It's all because of the money ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹ they're all under different agencies so their agencies are pulling them out to cash in on the individual member ã…‹ã…‹ã…‹

2. [+537, -35] It is unfortunate that they have to disband no matter what since they debuted as a project group. They had one of the biggest impacts as a rookie group.

3. [+496, -29] The agencies of popular members like Kang Daniel and Ong Sungwoo probably feel like they can profit more off of them alone than as a group

4. [+36, -7] You still never know. Even in I.O.I, members like Kim Sejeong, Joo Kyulkyung, and Kim Doyeon were the most popular and yet all of them flopped.

5. [+31, -9] I don't think they'll be as popular on their own... people only like them because they're a part of Wanna One.

6. [+25, -8] Most groups fail hard once they disperse

7. [+21, -0] Even super popular groups like HOT, Sechs Kies, or SES started declining once they disbanded. The members are only as popular as their groups are, and that's all gone once they disband...

8. [+16, -3] You'll see after they disband. The member who starts promoting right away will probably be under the agency that wanted to cash in on his fame while he still can. He probably already has schedules lined up from dramas, music, to musicals. They just never wanted to share~

9. [+16, -1] I can already see how the agencies are going to overwork these kids to milk them all they can

10. [+13, -2] In a year, we won't even remember that half of them were in Wanna One...

11. [+13, -2] There really hasn't been a case where a group did better after disbanding. There is such a strong precedent~ Kang Daniel may be the most popular member now but that won't be forever~ the hearts of people are fickle and ever changing.

Honestly imo the companies should revise the group contract, AKA snatch W1 from swing ent after disbandment so that the individual agencies could profit and the members could simultaneously promote solo/with a group. Of course it's impossible because of logistics, copyright, etc though.

It's such a shame- Produce shoots you straight to the top of the industry, gives you a taste of superstardom, and then rips you back into reality after a year.

Honestly, fans play a role in group's future. Super Junior was supposed to be a rotation and temporary group until ELF pushed SM to agree with the line-up and make them a parmenant group. I think for one, IZ*ONE should extend their contracts for 10 years or be a parmenant group at this point too, things will not be THAT complicated for J-Lines since IZ*ONE is basicly just like any other AKB's sister groups at this point. As for the contracts with their original agencies, Mnet could could probably resolve that problem with their influences considering none of the 9 Korean members were part of any official groups prior to this.

Just a thought

It's a contract.

All of us know ahead of time that it's as survival show.

No one is forcing us to stan.

If you can't handle temporary groups then don't stan them. Avoid them.

There are so many other young rising permanent groups that would love the support too.
