Girls in their 20s: would you be interested in a boy who's 14 yrs old?

This is not about me.  And this is more along the lines of fangirling...maybe.  However, this person seems obsessed with this 14 yr. old boy.  And although they say it's 'not that kind of love' I just find it a bit strange someone would be into a boy that young as only a fan. unsure.png  I can understand  a ajjummah fangirling over some kpop idols in their 20s etc.  but 14 yrs? She's always talking about him... and when asked if they would date this boy if he were older she says "no."  rolleyes.gif This boy didn't even debut yet too.  So it's not like he's that popular yet.   I guess she admires their talent and visuals.  But even to mention his visuals is kind of like... twitch.gif  ?  Every time she talks about him I feel awkward.  you think she bullshitting and denying her forbidden pleasure or is it possible a girl of that age is only fangirling like anyone else but instead over a minor who is still going through puberty?

Is this about who I think it is ...

Well if she's fangirling in a healthy way, and talks about that idol more like a little bro I don't think it's a problem. There's no wrong into being impressed by someone younger for their talent and praising them for their looks

However if it's downright obsession and that she lowkey forgets about how old he is and makes comments she shouldn't then yeah it's completely wrong. She should draw some lines to herself

Just being a general fan isnt too weird I think. Like if they're a singer and liking their songs/performances...thats one thing (or if their an actor and liking the movies they're in or something), but liking them for their visuals...idk...I dont know if I get that

Stanning is a bit more iffy, like buying merchandise and shit is where it gets a bit creepy

As long as they’re not sexualising him and support for his talents, I don’t see the problem?

I’m not in my 20s though lol maybe my inpt will be discarded but oh well...

i'm just curious cuz I don't know how girls think compare to men.  like usually when older females fangirl over young idols it is seen as cute.  But if it was reversed like older man fangirl over young female idols it's seen as creepy.  I'm sure there are some older men who do think of these young female idols in "that way" but idk if it's the same for older women...

well.. yeah... I don't think they are doing that

No, I wouldn't. Not in real life (obviously) and not for celebrities either. Which is why I have no interest in any of the newer boy groups with super young members. I'm not going to fangirl over someone young enough to be my younger brother or something, even if it's as much as admiring their talent, personality, etc. Honestly, it makes me feel like a creep even though I'm not doing anything creepy. Hard to explain and maybe it's just me who thinks that way laugh.png

Theoretically, yes. I would support him as a performer, kids need support too.  Practically, no. I already have a group I stan for years. I cannot imagine myself starting all over again with a new group, don't have the mood neither time for that.

 thank you for the feedback...

Are you saying every girl that admires a female idol visual is a lesbian or bisexual?

Not everyone sexualise and you should learn to be more open minded that people can like idols beyond sexualising them.

not at all

I'm just trying to get a feel of this person's feelings from a female perspective :)

I'm 20 and I'm a huge fan of NCT Dream and smrookies girls so I think I can understand. I don't know who you're talking about but in my case it makes no difference if they are 25 y.o or 13 y.o, I'll support them the same way. You can stan someone without loving them in a romantic kind of way of having fantasm about them. I love my younger idols like a mom or a big sister would do, just like I love the older ones because they inspire me and they are examples for me. I would never have any fantasm about them because that's not how it is for me. I just like them because they are talented and beautiful and I want them to be happy and healthy. I don't think that's wrong.

I think people read too much into these issues. If someone who's 25 or 40 wants to be an active stan of someone who's way younger than them, let them be. Not everyone is a pedo.

As long as they don't sexualized, you can enjoy their music, talent, and the entertainment they bring. Overall I don't sexualized/loving romantically any celebs I admire either older or younger, and I'm not an active stan overall. I do feel creep when I see someone sexualized underage celebs...which yes, I do meet someone like those.

I admire beauty and entertainment as a form of art, I'm a designer so I have to be open minded on new trends, entertainment can be quite objective. If you like it, support it, buy it, just like you pay for your clothes and games.

Singer/celebs are just getting younger, if I limit to like those who is same age/older than me, by certain age I won't be able to enjoy anything because at some point they will retire or stop being active. I don't want to become like my parents who stuck on the music/movies of their era and refuse to enjoy the new stuff.

in practice I never interested with very young idols....

Does she have a younger sibling?

not that I know of.  i see where you might be coming from.  the high interest could also be from a younger sibling point of view?

I think so too.  like I stan some underage kpop idols and "not in that way" and don't see anything wrong with it.  I've never been obsessed with it tho to this point.  But guess 'to each is own'.

I'm in my 20s and I love Haruto and Jeongwoo from YGTB and they're both 14. But I love them in a motherly way and I call them my "babies" and stuff (they're literally still babies tbh). I hardcore stan them and support them in whatever they do but I def don't sexualize them. I guess you can say I'm a soft stan?? so yes, it is possible to stan someone way younger than you and is a minor as long as you don't sexualize them and just support them as a fan.
