[NAVER] A Very Humane, Boyish Jeongyeon ( A reporter's response to the TTV ep. where she talked about Twice's schedules)

This article is talking about the Twice TV episode where Jeongyeon broke down in front of the camera and talked about how she felt bad for not being able to help her members whilst they were going through a tough time. (due to schedules).

Then talks about the aftermath of reporters twisting her words saying she was complaining about the tough schedules, and knetz calling her out without watching her video for being 'ungrateful' and 'quit if you can't take it'. (NB translated some articles if you can remember, the comments were gross)

I'll leave the video in a spoiler-

Many people used that video to hate on her or shade Twice

I hope more people will understand that context is very important

she never complained about anything, she was actually thinking about the other members as she always does

you deserve all the love in the world Jeongyeon <3

The people that criticized her clearly didn't watch the video. Good that there is at least one reporter who doesn't aim to just stir up controversies for clicks.

Lots of Onces started infighting because of the misunderstanding over this. Some of them even shunned each other. Hopefully people realize that Jeongyeon was just emotional that day.

And then, only fans will read and care about this. Passerbys and haters will turned a blind eyes for full context materials and the good things. They up only for negativities. A shame..

Tbh you can even see with the amount off views between "naver" threads and "pann/NB" threads on OH. People always call out knetz for writing negative comments but will still be the first to go and check out those translated posts.

We need to start hitting trash journalists with libel laws. They shouldn’t be allowed to make profit off of ruining another person’a reputation. If a company can sue hate commenters, then they should be able to sue these garbage “journalists†as well.

I agree. The translation fails to mention this, but it goes on to talk about how the reporters at the airport on the morning after took photos and captioned them saying she was "tired", when she looked completely fine. That got her a bit of hate too. They'll try to spin anything and just run with it, ridiculous. souleyesplz.png

uh.. not defending the journalist cause they're trash. but those ppl blaming jeong for looking tired are even more in the wrong. how tf do u blame someone for looking tired?? no logic. even if an article states that she looks tired it shouldn't have warranted that kind of response

Sorry I didn't mean to make it sound like the people commenting aren't at fault too. Both are at fault, the reporters for writing articles for bait right after twisting her words from the video and people commenting without knowing context.

I just responded to the comment that talked about journalists, and this article does focus on journalists misreporting, that's all. smile.png

LOML. I hate that people turned her words around on her. She doesn't deserve that. None of the girls do.

I agree completely.
