I backtracked and read your opinion about YG having this in mind since mid show, and now that I think about it, you're most likely right

and on top of your notion of yoonbin and mashiho, it somehow makes sense to me if YG added jaehyuk in the final line up with a second group already in mind

 

I just hope him not putting the dates is to give it some time and really consider the potential members

 

I believe members have been decided or else Gon/Seunghun wouldn't have left already.

This is a new group... no idea why everyone continues to say it’s a subunit or part of the same group as Treasure.

YG iscapitalizing on the show and didn’t want to lose some gems who were probably going to leave within the next month so he needed solidified lineup for the next boy group to keep them. Imo YG won’t ever do rotation groups or subunit groups like exo. I just don’t see it. It’s a new group, and he decided that while the show was airing and after he saw the popularity of unexpected trainees sky rocket. Which, like I said before, is why he didn’t debut Yoonbin and mashi. We were all so confused why junghwan and jaehyuk debuted over more popular trainees (I’m happy for them tho, everyone deserves a chance at debut) but this is why. YG dividing his popular members and creating two groups instead of one.

He probably already planned to debut them and just rushed the announcement because of the scandal. I doubt he’s just debuting them out of pure distraction

If we go by what epik said.. they even uploaded this a couple of days ago so... this news can’t even be considered rushed

Which honestly isn’t a bad idea considered from a standpoint of profit. I mean it’s hard on the fans but I can see why he would chose to do it that way.

Are we guessing Yoonbin to be the leader of this group btw? I think he would fit the role pretty well.

Tbh I’m not sure but if they’re doing leaders then it’ll probably be Yoonbin

Who do y'all think the main vocalist will be? Treasure has both Yedam and Jeongwoo. I would have thought Seunghun would fit that role, but he's gone too.

I don't think there will be one rapper. It's even less likely than YG having 3 rappers in a group tbh.

 

as for who fits leader better, I don't know. a YG group leader is always the one that produces for the group and fights for the group and is responsible for it. So I am not sure who fits the bill and if anyone does. If no one does then I'm fine with either Jihoon or Yoonbin or another person YG sees more fit tbh.

Yes but then again we also didnt think they would announce a second group yet here we are so maybe something unexpected will happen here again. I see your point tho and either way is fine for me.

Also if there will most likely be a second rapper then that means that Keitas chances are a bit bigger so yeah... definitely not mad about that. 

two groups from one survival isn't new. YG did it for WIN.

Yea I think Keita has a good chance. I believe it's either him or Yoshi but we'll see? I'm ok with basically any trainee at this point. Just my OT4 making it and the other two can be anyone and I would still be happy and embrace them haha

It’s annoying fans of current trainees are being accused of spreading the hyunsuk rumour when the individual fans of the group itself have been dragging each other for days. Wish we don’t let this narration take life and people start calling this new group’s fans as problematic. Been through it once and refuse to go through it again. I’ve heard about hyunsuk rumours from fans of members in Treasure group long before this 6 member group was announced so.... don’t let people run with this storyline please, it’ll hurt this group

I need Yoonbin to be first because I'm sick of being anxious.
I also don't think Yoonbin and Mashiho will both be announced first. One of them will be first and the other will be towards the end.

Would be surprised if Doyoung didn’t make it considering he’s the last remaining Team A trainee. Also I’d be surprised yet not surprised by Junhyao. Surprised because he was eliminated early, but not surprised because he’d be very marketable in China so he’d serve a huge purpose

i hope someone makes a thread for both groups combined or smth...am I the only one having a hard time following both threads updates?

 

they're two separate groups. why would you do a combined thread? iKON, Big Bang, Winner, and Black Pink have their own threads. 

if it is announced that they'll be one group then yes, otherwise, they're separate entities. 

but anyone is more than welcome to make one like the WINKON thread but it'll be under OTP and not groups.

Some of you bringing WINKON situation seems like you really want it to happen. I get people are worried, but you need to relax for a bit.

If it is the same people who want it all the time they just like big groups as well as big warm and fuzzy feelings.  They are also the same type of people who dislike conflict.

 

they're the same people being negative. Already dooming the two groups as a WINKON fanwar future when the situation is NOT the same as WINKON. This was already explained to them but they're all over the forum crying that this will create fan wars and split the fandom and already blaming certain potential OT6 member fandoms for the hyunsuk mess. 

 

Lots of people who weren't going to support the new group because their faves didn't make it, myself included, will be supporting this one so fandoms aren't really split. It's not ok to keep saying these things. 

 

That doesn't bring any warm fuzzy feelings. They can wish for OT13 without all the negativity accompanying it.

hmm I think this group will probably debut after Treasure and the upcoming GG so they'll have time to hone their producing skills (if one of them is good at it) and they, along with in house yg producers could work on the album... but I just don't know enough to make any assumptions.. will it be like BP or will it be like iKON? who knows.. or will it transition from BP initially to iKON later when one or two gain more experience and catch YG's attention, producing wise. Only time will tell I guess? I'm excited and I prefer Choice and Future Bounce to work with them. 

First member is coming :D
