I think 48 was supposed to be a pun based on combine name of 3 AKS founders.

 

Number 46 is lower than 48 and they said the group will be rival and beat 48 even with less members

I'm watching this week's Nogichuu with the 3rd Gen and I'm very confused on why they chose the girl with the WORST stage fright to be the center of 3rd Gen. She's cute when she smiles but girl sounds like she's about to have a breakdown every time she speaks

Yes her. I honestly can't tell but she was crying like that at the 3rd gen's first introduction/live event, too..

Yamashita, Yoda, and Ozono took turns as center when they had their first performance, but Ozono is the center for Sanbame no Kaze.

That's correct, Hori did get a lot of hate for centering Barrette, which is why I'd rather 3rd Gen start from the bottom and work their way up, but I also don't think an air drop now would be taken as badly as it was then. At the time of Barrette, there were only two centers (Ikoma and Maiyan) where as now, the idea of rotating centers isn't new. And Hori had just replaced Maiyan as center when Maiyan has the most passionate fans.

 

While that's true, I think they've learned which is why they're pushing 3rd gen through BINGO and the NogiKoi game instead of airdrop. Don't think we're going to see any air drops to be honest, Hori lost a LOT of momentum because of that (she started selling out a lot slower, etc)

AKB48 was supposed to have three teams of 16 members each. That's why there was so much backlash when 4th generation (Team SEED) was announced - you can see some of the reactions here, hahaha. Now it just doesn't mean jackshit.

I was surprised with Sanbanme no Kaze choreo. I was expecting something really simple, since third gen is new and all. But the choreo is actually dynamic and energetic.

 

The girls looked sweet in Atarisawari no nai Hanashi. I'm glad Ikoma is letting her hair grow. She looks so good.
