In my country (Singapore), a lot of people know about AKB48 and even some of their bigger sister groups, but the Zaka46s are almost completely unknown, and that puzzles me. Cos it seems like they're rising super fast in Japan. And i'm biased, but i like their music much more than AKB's, and i think the members' average visuals are in a different class.

Im also from Singapore i feel you too.I dont really know anyone irl that knows about the sakamichi group.

 

Its to be expected though due to Japan and their strict copyright rules and most of their publicity are mostly catered towards their own people.

I recently got into Nogi because Demasta introduced me to their music and shows---which I ended up really liking~(thank you dem)

I think they're really cute, funny, and full of energy, so it's fun to watch them.

Plus their music is really pleasing to listen to and catchy.

The members that caught my attention the most were Mai, Ikoma, and Nanase.

I'm still really new to them so I don't know much, but I'll try my best to keep up with recent things and hopefully be part of this thread more~

So from the little poll it looks like Mai & Nanase are truly undisputed, while the next few spots are a toss-up btw Erika, Nanami, Rina and a few runners-up. I wonder what it'd look like if i excluded Nanami for being graduated....

 

 

I'm super biased though sorry, and i'm glad Ikuchan didn't have to wait until she's about to graduate before getting her first center spot. T.T but in my world, she should get every other center spot

Discussion about visuals, don't u guys agree there's a stark difference btw Sakamichi and the 48s? AKB48 is well known for most of their members being average-looking (it's not just personal opinion, i've heard it being said that that was Akimoto Yasushi's concept for the group, so as to be "accessible" and "realistic" for the fans, fitting in with their whole theatre concept as well)

 

Are the 46s are a completely different story? Have they changed concept to be more visual-focused?

 

No offence cos i know there are tons of 48 fans here as well. Just saying generally-accepted visual standards.
