Regarding the school year in Japan, I was looking it up and it seems the school year ends weekending March 23 this year and starts weekending April 13-with differences between prefectures. Did Mashiho really go back to Japan for graduation last week? Seems a little early based on the info I looked up.

 

Grad is usually beginning of March yes so when I realised he was coming back I was really confused 

He's defs graduating this year but idk if that means he continues on with school and they have grad early or he's just done (over here, he would be done and going on to uni but idk completely how Jpn school years work jdjskjs) 

 

Mahiro should defs be graduating this year too so... and we have no idea which high schools they attend apart from the fact they're in Tokyo 

And that should all match up w what Mari said 

Imo if Yoshi graduated last year/was in his last year of schooling, 100% he should've went to HS and graduated. Idk if it's compulsory in Jpn either tho nssksj

Finishing middle school is compulsory.  Though like in Korea, over 95% of students complete high school or vocational school.  According to other people on this thread, since Yoshi is a May baby, he is in the same school year as Mashi and Mahiro (March babies) with Keita the year behind him (Keita is a July baby)  This makes sense, because in my country you have to be 5 to enter kindergarten and school tends to start in August/September so a November baby would have to wait until the next school year to start.

 

Oh you're right! Over here he would've graduated 2 years ago dang, the cut-off is like June or July and he meets it. Hm,, I have heard that YG pulls out their trainees from schooling so none of them really complete HS at least unless they're in their last year but I didn't think that would affect him in Japan. Imo him, Mashi and the rest all attend schools in a similar area if not the same HS so maybe Mashi didn't go back for grad after all. It's officially around grad time in Japan rn tho T_T
