guys... I'm curious are the 2001 liners still attending schools? and do they graduate this year? idk how's the system in japan.... are the 2001 liners graduate this year or next year?

 

and do they go to same school or different schools?

In March 2000-liners that we’re born after April 1st and 2001-liners that we’re born before April 1st will graduate from high school

So that means Yoshinori, Mashiho, Mahiro considered as same grade in high school while Asahi and Keita are considered as their juniors?

 

While in korea they refer to each other based on korean age hierarchy lol

That's why Yoshi and Mahiro are so close like same age friend it is because they considered same grade

i cant believe Mashiho, Yoshinori and Mahiro will graduate from high school after 2 months

it also means that they most likely will have to make a choice about their future soon so we most likely will find out something this year

private schools are actually very common in japan most people try to attend private high schools in japan instead of public ( even tough unless you attend expensive private high school there is no difference between public and private teaching ) japanese high schools are ranked and students from better ranking schools have better chance in entering universities and a lot of universities run also high schools so a lot of people who attend public middle school will try to enter private high schools.

oh wow! btw im really happy a jpop stan is into treasure j because it makes everything a lot easier for us with no knowledge on how it is in the jpop industry and what japanese culture is like hdhdhd thank you so much!!

 

on internet it says that the school mashiho seems to have been to is one of the most prestigious junior + senior high school!!

 

 

is it alright for me to post the school name? i doubt he still attends that school so its not like sasaengs will dig up this thread and run around w the information right-

the layout is so outdated btw they should updated to something little bit more modern

 

if anyone is interested this is how much their fees cost 

 

 

enrolment fee 45000 yen around 450 dollars

facility maintenance fee 300000 yen around 3000 dollars you pay it only one

tuition fee per year 300000 yen 3000 dollars 250 dollars per month each year

educational enhancement fee 840 dollars each semester 

parents association membership fee 78 dollars per year

student meeting fees 60 dollars per year 

i dont know what the last one is but its something to do with off campus extra curricular accommodation that is 480 dollars for 1st and second year students

 

this doesn't include uniforms, textbooks, other materials costs

 

so the basic fee for the first year of this school 790800 yen so around 7500 dollars and with the uniforms and other materials i would say its over 8000 dollars not the most expensive japanese school out there but not cheap either

What is Avex Artist Academy?

its an music, dance and acting  school and avex sometimes picks people from there to debut under them but its not common that the students debut under avex. Actually the 3 japanese cherry bullet members were students there.

check the IG acc for even more old pics~ AAA, from what I understood, is like SM Academy or YGx Academy. Basically you pay for classes such as singing, theatre/film, dance, etc. These things are usually pretty expensive though. Thank God Asahi joined YG lol!

its really expensive a standard vocal and dance course meant for elementary and middle school kids will cost you 18000 yen (180 dollars)  and  then there are the enrollment fee 10,800 yen (100 dollars) + Admission fee 5,400 yen (50 dollars) 

 

and the professional course cost 500000 yen (500 dollars)+ enrollment fee 10,800 yen (100 dollars) + Admission fee 5,400 yen (50 dollars) and you have to pass an audition to be selected to study there

 

but what i've heard they are very good courses that produce top notch vocalist and dancers, so they are worth their price

I wonder too! Honestly I wonder who the other Japanese trainees are in general, like the ones they showed during the YG Japan introduction video? Since they let Asahi on the show and not them when they have been training for longer

 

I can't find the video rn but I'll look for it again when I get home

didn't they say in the second episode that they had 10 trainees, i wonder why the 3 other didn't come to the show. Maybe they only needed 7 or maybe the rest weren't up for a survival show or depending on their age if they finished high school in 2018 or are finishing high school in march they might have quit if they felt like there were no chance of deputing so they can focus on their future.

i wonder what the plan now is for Team J, 3 of them are debuting leaving 4 of them in Ygex (with the 3 unknown trainees, who are either too young to take part in ygtb or didn't make the cut or are in their last year(s) of high school and wanted to focus on that instead of joining ygtb for just a chance to debut)

 

btw dd anyone find the clip of those 3 unknown trainees?

One of the kids had a solo shot,  you can see an unknown trainee next to Keita/behind Haruto when they film Haruto, you can see him again when they film Mashiho in the front guiding them with the choreo

 

the two in front of Keita look really young and is the third one in the white shirt because he too looks very young too , this might be the reason they went on ygtb

i think age is the reason as well, since they dont live with the rest in their dorm either!

 

its not the kid in white i was referring to but the guy with ashy dark blonde streaks in his hair and a black sweater, i made it bigger!

 

and np i was gonna post them waaay before but, ya know, laziness

 

also i woke up this morning feeling hurt asf about keita's situation icb he decided to stay

ah ok, he looks little older so his case might be difrent than the younger once

 

i really hoped and still hope that Keita will debut, so i get what your feeling he has trained the longest and is such a sweetheart he doesn't deserve this.

we got so little of Mahiro in this show, too bad because he was the one that caught my eye early on, i was so convinced that korea would go crazy for his vocals and visuals

I betttt you he would've been sooooooo much more popular with proper screentime and a chance to show off how well he sings  He ranked 9 out of 29 during the first evaluation

 

They literally only showed him before elimination for Yoshinori's backstory in episode 6.... But watching all the behind footage + extra vids and such, he was so goofy and funny and CUTEEEEE   love his puppy-like face

 

I really hope all of the Treasure J boys stay friends ksksdjdhf I grew so attached to all of them (perhaps less to Kotaro because of how little we saw of him even in the behind/extra vids) my mind will be at peace knowing Mashiho and Keita remained friends after being the only trainees at 12 years old, Haruto still carrying a charger for Yoshi and Yoshi + Mahiro still being the bestest friends

some members of j team got so little screen time it was ridiculous, its sad ygtb didn't give them a fighting chance

 

i wonder what will happen to the rest of team j, most of them are at the age when they will have to decide what to do with their future if yg has nothing planned for them i see them leaving ygex

this means 4 out of 7 of treasure j are debuting which is actually very good considering their lack of screen time, i wish them all luck in their debut!

 

my heart goes out for Kotaro, Keita and Mahiro with YG debuting a group with 3 japanese members i dont think there are plans for a j group which makes me sad, even though i knew chances of them debuting a full j group were slim with johnny's still being as powerful as they are, i still held hope for that to happen

Not sure what the last part means. Either that they lived together in the same apartment sans Mahiro and Kotaro or that Kotaro and Mahiro lived together idk

If they live together now, then tbh yes probably... I wonder why they would live together though, I mean Mahiro is 17 and just a high schooler how is he supposed to afford - ok one of my business lol

 

Maybe the 3 other kids will move into their dorm now hah watch their leader get Keita'd in 5 years from now

I guess Mahiros parents are paying his half of the rent also he has like 1 month of school left before he graduates from high school so month from now a lot of kids of his age will be moving to Tokyo and other big cities to universities and usually their parents tend to pay their rent.

 

I wonder what Kotaro is doing he graduated from high school last March and I highly doubt he applied to university if there was a chance he could have debuted this year.
